Small Plates LARGE Flavor!

Always a nice dining experience and food it very good.

Food exquisite. Drinks, very watered down. Very light pour. Too much mix, really light on the alcohol. The drinks are a rip off at $17.00 per cocktail. Food amazing. Would I go again, absolutely. But expect to either order straight alcohol on the rocks or ask for a double.

AMAZING everything! Beverages (both Sangria & mocktails), appetizers, Tasting Menu, Paella, desserts were outstanding, and service was top-notch!

We had the Chef's Tasting Menu plus the Arros de Mariscos paella. Everything was absolutely delicious and the wait staff were all excellent. There was more than enough food so work up an appetite before you go.

Great food, nice dining room, and fabulous service in a location conveniently located near Grant Park and museums.

This was our first dinner at Mercat a La Planxa and the first time we've tried Catalan cuisine. It was great. We chose the traditional tasting menu. It's smaller than the Chef's tasting menu, but we were so full by the end of the meal that we were glad to have opted for the smaller one. We enjoyed every dish, and some more than others. The service was excellent and the restaurant was roomy and attractive. We'd like to come back here again and try some of the other dishes.

A wonderful dining experience; the chef’s tasting menu is a variety of delicious dishes offered.

I was really disappointed, expecting more based on reviews. We ordered ( bacon wrapped date, sardines, grilled octopus & paella negra) only the bacon wrapped dates stands out. The sardines came out of the can, Really!?, paella is bland and the rice is still raw, squid is rubbery. My husband has sangria which is pretty good, but the Mercat GT is just like water with a hint of gin & rosemarie . Sorry but won’t be back
