I recently catered in Lola’s Coney for a surprise for husband Detroit-born husband. Having been to Lola’s before, my husband and I knew that their coney dogs were authentic Detroit coney! The team was so easy to work with and super sensitive to my need to text instead of call (due to the surprise factor) and helped walk me through how many coney dogs they recommended I order for the size of the party. Leading up to and on the day of the party, they were in constant contact, confirming my order and then communicating arrival time. They were SO kind to wait a few extra minutes after the surprise was over for me to run out and grab the food! (Surprise party timelines never go quite as planned). The big kicker was as the food was being handed off to me, they shared that they had included some Better Made chips because they knew it was a birthday party and that the birthday boy was from Detroit. When I got inside I realized they had provided me TWO boxes with so many different flavors of Better Made. The food was a hit and we turned many people into coney dog lovers as they’d never sampled the delicious Detroit treat before. I have to say the most rewarding part of the party was hearing all of the Detroit born family members rave about the authenticity of the coneys for this Detroit themed birthday.If you are from Detroit, or have ever eaten a coney dog in Detroit, you gotta make your way to Lola’s. Their food is amazing.If you’re ever hosting a party - highly recommend Lola’s. Their customer service was excellent, super helpful as I shared my budget and guest list regarding what I would need, and everything came ready to go and was a big hit!
My grandmother used to say "How could it be bad if all the ingredients are good?"I really love the Italian Beef here. Its like the perfect size sandwich. Primo meat, excellent bread, fresh peppers, quality provolone, dipped just the right amount, and they put on some sweet grilled onions too.Other beefs might be good because their huge, or greasy - but this one is great because you can really taste all the parts of it.
I’m from Michigan, and this is the best Detroit style coney I’ve ever had in Chicago. Seriously, I’ve been here for 8 years and nothing has ever compared since I’ve found Lola’s.The hot dogs are perfect and taste like Dearborn brand. I’ve had it delivered so many times and it’s always great. Definitely need to stop in sometime.
The owner has great love for his product and it shows. His crew was very friendly. The food was just great. Everything was fresh. Can't wait to go back and try their burger. Excellent ingredients, food and service.
Great coneys and onion rings. Highly recommend getting a shake too. Great place to get authentic style Detroit coneys.
Consistency has been hit and miss the last year or so, but pretty darn good usually. Run by a classy dude this is easily the best Detroit Coney in Chicago. Also one of the most underrated burgers in the city. Don't pass it by.

Have to give 5 stars!!! Hard to find a delicious Detroit Style Coney and Chili fries! My favorite spot when in Chicago! Your staff is amazing and very friendly! I will be back every time I’m in town! Thank you Lola’s for being back the memories of home!
This place is the worst “hot dog” spot I’ve ever been to . I ordered 3 hot dogs and it took over 45 min , I could’ve driven to Coney Island and back an my food still wouldn’t be ready. Please someone fire the cook immediately. I never heard a restaurant open and close the microwave to cook food so much . I do not recommend this place I saw rats leaving the kitchen . Run far from this place , and go down the block on Chicago and kedzie to best sub . You’ll be in and out much quicker.
Was SO impressed with the service and even better food. This is for sure a Detroit place. EXCELLENT all the way around. A MUST TRY, especially the Sander's Bumpy Cake shake....unbelievably delicious.
