My friend & I were "starving" when her train finally made it into Union Station and looked for a place relatively close to get a quick bite to eat. Finding Little Toast was close and had a wonderful menu was just our cup of tea. We both had the Protein Bowl which was very fulfilling but not loaded with carbs that would have made this night-shift nurse want to find a warm, soft place to curl up and take a nap. The only thing that was unexpected was the cool reception my friend & I received when we asked for a table. While they may not have intentionally projected the image, it felt like we were a bother even though the restaurant was almost empty and we did not have a reservation.
I have tried this place 4 times now .. ( company is in the building so we just walk downstairs ). The food is horrible .. drinks are OK . I want to like this place because the convenience of being in the same building but .. the food is just horrible ! There are better places in Chicago to visit.
Me and my Husband were looking for a place to eat near the union station and stumbled across this Great place! Wonderful food! And great drinks! Great hospitality! Definitely found one of our favorite spot ☺️
The food is good, the drinks are fabulous and the atmosphere is really fun. Good for a group of a solo outing.
Fantastic little bar and restaurant to get drinks and appetizers after work. They also have outside seating overlooking the river. Great drinks on the menu. Would highly recommend for happy hour!
Even though I wasn't dress for the occasion. I was treated with respect and offered a 5+ star service. The food and the drinks were great. Definitely recommend this location. They allowed me to charge my laptop and also use the Wi-Fi.
I was slightly underwhelmed with the food and the ambiance. Our service was excellent, the reason for the 4 stars. But the sandwich and fries I had were just good. My boyfriend had the burger and it really wasn’t all that great. Very limited menu. The location is in the lobby of a building. Felt like a sports bar, not a cocktail bar at all. Not as upscale or intimate as I thought it would be. I kept telling my boyfriend that it felt like we were in a hotel lobby the entire time. Probably won’t be back.
I wish I knew how many stars to give you, and would love to correct this if only you would change and/or honor your posted operation hours. Looked like a really cool place but we showed up an hour after it “opened” and there was no one to be seen. No signs saying a different opening time and no mention on your Google hours. Tough traveler woes!
Love this place. Very open and airy and when it's warm out a wonderful outside patio. It's in an office building, lobby floor, but is open to the public. Service is quick, helpful and courteous. We have come to call it our "lower conference room" in a joking way. Food is very good and it's not crazy priced.
Great spot for lunch or a quick drink. Highly recommended!
