*I am a former employee*Ernesto Guzamn, the owner of Lito's and many other business he has, owes a sum of over $1k that he has not payed me for when I worked for him.I have been contacting him since March 22nd regarding this and he denied it and has now stopped answering my messages and calls as of April 13thI am waiting for my payment especially considering the whole 6 months I worked with him, I did not once recive a payment on time which led to this issueI have turned to writing this in the Google review seeing that he has been avoiding talking to me.
I tried this place off of an app called “too goo to go” and was really happy. I got 3 empanadas, 2 chicken and 1 beef. They were warm and toasty and savory. I would definitely go back here. It’s in a really cool location with a bunch of other food options.
Yummy vegetarian empanadas here. They are soooooo good . Spinach and cheese , and a fajita style ones are great.. and their Serrano sauce !! They are not kidding about the spice level. Be careful when u pick that.
Great quality empanadas! One of my lunch options when I used to work downtown. Service is quick.
Good traditional Mexican empanadas with a variety of different fillings. I tried the chicken version which was good, nice and warm upon serving. Reasonable prices.

I haven’t tried them all. But today I went into The French Market and I happened to come across this wonderful little gem!!! This was my first time getting something from here...but let me tell you, it WILL NOT be my last!!!! I had the beef and rice empanadas. Holy cow! Usually, I will take a picture to go along with a review but after bite #1, I demolished that thang!!! Soooo happy I stopped by. Will be back! I hope they have some of the other flavors I was interested in today on my next visit!! A plus plus guys!! And that mild sauce tho! I love that I can taste the heat but it still has flavor, I can taste the cilantro...which is one of my favorite flavors. I used the whole little cup on my 1 empanada. You have made me a whole fan today, Lito’s. Also, I see reviews about poor service and wrong orders but the lady that I spoke with was real nice and helpful. No complaint on the service.
Stopped in for a late lunch. Was happy to learn that everything was half price because of the time. Denaija and Steven were both great - friendly, fun, and personable. I had a veggie burrito that was really delicious. I will be back.
Good empanadas but terrible service. I really need to stop giving them money. Regularly get incorrect items, or missing items, or missing sauce. If you order from them don't expect to get what you ordered.
Nice for a quick empanada wrap, meat or meatless. In the French Market just north of Ogilvie Station.
