The hotpot was all-you-can-eat. I did 5 rounds of orders despite accidentally ordering very spicy broth (my stomach can't handle strong spice). This caused me to metamorphose into a water gun spewing organic chocolate milk at 500gal/minute later that night. While I was suffering in the bathroom, I thought the food was so great I want to drive back for another round because it was just that good. The place is very fancy and I love the pot design

Absolutely delicious! We had the all you an eat, and it didn't disappoint. There was so much food that we only managed to fit one third on the table each time.

Our server Cindy was amazing. Great atmosphere with great food selections and taste. I highly recommend those who are looking for a place to eat and plus it’s all you can eat so it won’t hurt your wallet!

Thank you Linda and Miss Chen, their service were excellent. I love the half and half broth, my husband likes spicy hot pot. This restaurant has traditional Szechuan chefs. Recommended.

Came here with my friend for some ayce hotpot. Our server Cindy was fantastic! Always around to help take our additional orders and requests. The food was also very good for ayce. We got the medium spicy broth which was actually spicy and had the right flavours of 麻辣。

Interesting take on hotpot. Laojiumen Hotpot Chicago is all you can eat for $28.95 a person, not including sauces, soup or service and gratuity. BYOB helps, but things get pricey really quick. Choose a soup base, ask for mild as the "hot" gets ridiculously spicy quick. Vegan options with plenty of vegetables... Meats were plentiful and really made the broth stand out. This is a four star as they were out of many "fresh" ingredients mainly all mushrooms, ribs and higher cuts of beef at our dinner rsvp at 6:30pm. Laojiumen is definitely a place for all you can eat goodness but at $80 with tax before gratuity, it's not an affordable option for a light dinner for two.

It's the best hotpot restaurant I've ever had in Chicago, and most importantly, it's owned by a very, very beautiful young woman. She ran the restaurant in a perfect order. She looks not only beautiful, but also is brave and wise. Guys, you don't have to go to dinner, but you have to see this beautiful and elegant girl!!!

The most important thing about hotpot is the broth and quality of meat. Their lamb/beef meat are so firm and not tender at all. There’s no difference from the frozen hotpot meat that you get from the grocery stores. Might as well eat at home.Their spicy soup base is really spicy but it is flavorful.Compared to happy lamb, their soup base is more flavorful & their service is more attentive but everything else is not as good.Price is also not worth it. Not a lot of options. Would not visit again. The side deck where the food is put on is not convenient at all to get.

I was born and raised in Chongqing China, can tell you this place is very authentic & delicious, don’t even know how many times I’ve been there in the past year. Also seeing certain amount of local people coming in (White, black, Latino), not just costumers who’s from China. Well decorated, food’s good, service’s good, and the owner was so sweet.

Who charges for broth and dipping sauce at an all-you-can-eat hotpot??? That’s ridiculous. I mean the quality of the food is good but still.
