After 12 years I have returned to the same restaurant and it is amazing. It gas survived many natural and man made disasters.
Reviewing the counter service restaurant attached to the bodega. I love this place and have been going for years. Authentic, quality food. Large portions at cheap prices. What more could you ask for. In addition to extensive Cuban menu, they also have large Colombian & Mexican menus plus a few Peruvian options.
Went there to by a Spanish cologne but they didn't have it. Bought some colombian and Cuban empanadas, it was tasty. The store had a small parking lot which is very convenient.
It's a supermarket with a Latino restaurant attached. They have a Spanish food from Colombia, Peru, Cuba, ,Mexico. The menu is very diversify. Everything is made from scratch, very fresh and the prices are reasonable.
This place is good for Cuban food. The food is always fresh great portions. A Rogers Park Secret. I enjoy the steak and onions yellow rice black beans and tostones. And also the oxtail very delicious.
Placed my order front staff told me it was a 30 minute wait, waited in their dining area for an hour while staff spent time talking within eachother four tables were left dirty with five orders sitting on the counter 15 minutes after orders were placed out to tell us it was done.Do not waste your time

Usually the food is good, but after my experience recently, I highly reconsidered my opinion on this place. First of all we ordered two boliche plates, in which the rice was cold as well as the meat and beans. Additionally we had asked for a smoothie in water, due to being lactose intolerant, which they give us in milk and proceeded to inform us we had that way, which is completely false. We also ordered a chuleta plate to go, and upon getting home we realized that the meat had a rancid smell which led us to believe it was probably rotten.
Their food is so good. I love their papa rellena and the pan de bistec empanizado. La ropa vieja, lechón, and chicken plates are also fantastic. Some of the best flan this side of the city.
I was there to buy some groceries and have been there many times, just hadn't been there for a while. Usually the people there are pretty friendly, however the cashier (young lady) had an attitude. There was an older woman that was sweeping the floor that was friendlier than the cashier.
