Very good brunch today at La Boulangerie. We had the Louis VI and the Wisconsin and both were very delicious. Paired with iced caramel lattes. Highly recommend this place for French Bakery cuisine, definitely hits the spot!

My husband and I were on our way home to Columbus, OH, but we stopped here before leaving Chicago. Our food was delicious. And the lemon cake they offer was absolutely scrumptious! The customer service was decent, although we had a little wait for our food. The wait, however, was worth it. Overall, a nice quaint French cafe. (If you sit outside: beware of the birds.)

Very nice, bright, clean and appealing space! The pastries all looked wonderful. I bought some butter and and some chocolate croissants. They were excellent. Also got hot and iced lattes which were also very good. I would come here again!

This place is amazing. Friendly staff. Fast Service. Good place to drink coffee ?

It's increasingly rare to find local bakeries that still provide quality goods that are worth the wait. But La Boulangerie was a pleasant surprise for me and my family while on a casual Saturday stroll in the neighborhood. With a fair amount of seating filled both inside and out on their front patio, you could tell that this was a spot for the neighborhood to come hang out. We waited in line for about ten minutes, which didn't seem that bad as it was continuously moving as people filed in and out (there is a one-way flow through the bakery itself). The service was friendly and efficient, but not pushy even with the crowds. Despite being busy, there was a steady supply of baked goods being replenished in the display cabinets. We tried a few different croissants and other pastries, and personally I was impressed with them -- flaky on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. But one thing should be pointed out: if you are used to the chewy, bread-like pastries from grocery stores and chain coffee stores (often filled with copious amounts of sweet syrups and chocolate), these are quite different. The flavors are subtle, and well balanced, and rival some of the corner bakeries in France. I really appreciate this traditional style, and think many will too if they have the chance to stop by.

Best macaroons in the city. After trying them here, I was wondering how much better they are going to be in Paris. To be honest, I liked these more than Parisian ?

My favorite croissants in the city. I’d suggest ordering ahead on mobile as the line can get long.

Almond croissant is great. Pro tip: order ahead on mobile so you don’t have to wait. (Long line and there is no rushing service. )

While there are a few La Boulangerie locations throughout Chicago, this Wilson location is my favorite. The staff are really nice and friendly, all of the food options are great, the bread options are plentiful and the pastries are just the bee's knees!
