Classic Old School steakhouse with high quality food and great service. The menu was excellent, with so many choices.
Birthday dinner with wife. Everything was wonderful. Service could have been a little better.
Not for the faint of wallet, but worth EVERY penny! I went there after an event for work, there were about 15 of us. The highly attentive wait staff didn't miss a beat from the first drink all the way to dessert. They bring the different cuts of meat out to show you exactly what you're getting with each type of steak.The 16oz filet mignon is the way to go! The sides I tried were the garlic mashed potatoes, the roasted mushrooms, and the Mac and cheese - all flavor rich and done just right.If you've got a super appetite then I recommend starting with the fat back, shrimp, and shrimp cakes appetizer platter. Just amazing! The oysters are super fresh too, and the horseradish and sauce they serve with them is a perfect pairing.If somehow you manage to leave room for dessert, I highly recommend wrapping up with one of their dessert drinks!I would have loved to include some photos, but I was too busy eating!
Lovely and thoughtful service. Server smart, clearly enjoys and values a fine dinner and good wine. Met at Kinzie 27 years ago—still a special place to us. Miss the seared tuna!

I go on a lot of first dates because idk, so I go to a lot of nice places. I was very happy with the food and the service. I waited at the bar for my date to arrive and the bartender was very talented and very welcoming. I would genuinely go there for a casual drink if I lived closer. I’m in west loop. The wait staff was excellent and super attentive. Nothing was missed. They asked about allergies which is pretty rare in Chicago, I just found that nice. Was asked in a way that was a tone of “why wouldn’t we ask” and I love that. The food was excellent. The bone marrow and beef tartar were quite nice. I had the dry aged New York strip. I usually scoff at getting steak while I’m out, I can cook a pretty decent steak. I at least enjoy it more than I do most places I’ve ordered one at. This place did not disappoint. I was incredibly happy with it. Cooked to perfection. The Mac n cheese was amazing as well. The bill was also not near what I expected it to be. Really well priced, especially for Chicago.
The service was impeccable!! The steak was so-so, It should have melted in our mouths. My steak was a little over cooked & tough....for the price, I had high expectations. The wait staff was so friendly, I can’t think of a time I’ve had better service. They made the evening very enjoyable & special for all of us, especially for my daughter who that day graduated from college. Thank you for making the evening so special for her!
Steaks were fabulous. The waitstaff was very attentive!
I had a reservation for two in the main dining room. Upon arrival, we were told a large private party's size meant that we would have to instead sit at a table in the bar area. That was disappointing because it was noisier and difficult to have a meaningful conversation. That said, the manager was aware of the inconvenience and offered a second glass of wine (each), a glass of champagne (each), and desserts without charge to make up for the issue. We made the best of a less than perfect situation.
