I will be here for Drinking Chocolate tasting AND marshmallows. ?Thank you, SPOKEN CAFE for introducing me to Katherine Anne's #Chicago style #drinking #chocolate — great instructions, excellent retail product that already contains milk, texture is in between flat Swiss Miss and real OG Italian/Spanish sipping chocolate. I understand the addition of salt, but, somehow, SALT-n-SUGAR are dominant or top note that tips the addiction balance. ?
While I personally have not visited, I found their stand at the Daley Plaza Market today. Two very kind women patiently answered my dietary questions and I purchased raspberry champagne and pistachio vegan truffles from them. I cannot tell I am eating vegan versions at all! And they had not one, but two flavors for me to pick from!? Thank you so much for the new chocolate option.
Very friendly and enthusiastic, patient and helpful with suggestions for what hot chocolate to try. I eventually settled on the flight. Each was outstanding. I don't see how anyone would be disappointed with any choice.
Awesome selection of truffles. It is a little pricey, so this would be more of an indulgence place. Got 7 truffles, $26 for all. Chocolate is very rich.
I have only had the hot chocolate (drinking chocolate) when I come here but it is so good I could swim in it. It’s so thick and filling that it’s basically a meal on its own. I’ve had the milk chocolate, salted caramel and the Mexican; all are phenomenal. The marshmallow on top is literally the icing on the cake. It slowly melts, creating a froth on top of the drink making it the perfect pairing.
I love this local, women-owned small business! They have absolutely awesome chocolate and caramel creations, in addition to their marshmallows. And it looks like they are going to add sandwiches soon, possibly, based on their menu board when we went there last week! They do online order pickup, too, which is super easy and convincing since parking can sometimes be a bit rough.
It was okay, too sweet for my taste. No dine in, takeaway only.

There is nothing better to soothe the cold Chicago winter blues than a drinking chocolate with a house-made marshmallow from Katherine Anne's. Even the plant-based milk versions for us lactose unfriendly folks are rich and delicious (I go with almond)! **Chef's kiss**
