Great beignets and meat pies!!! their rice and bean pie is excellent!!! really good food
What a hidden gem! I just ordered at Junebug for the first time today (about 30 mins ago actually) and felt a review was definitely necessary. I ordered the bowl of gumbo w/rice and an order of beignets. The gumbo was perfectly seasoned and the sausage was amazing. The beignets were fresh and the texture was on point. Everything was so comforting and true to New Orleans flavor. I’m stoked I found this place and cannot wait to try their meat pies. 10/10!
Multiple flavors of Dark Matter coffee, check. Jasmine, the best barista ever, check. Good pies and ben yay's haha. Please don't ever get rid of my Chocolate City on tap. Unless you want to give it to me.

Best coffee (Cafe au lait) I've had in a while. Walked in to an old french quarter style Cafe atmosphere. The meat pie was excellent with the sauce. The baristas was very nice, extremely professional.
Fresh yummy beignets, hearty gumbo, and lavender lemonade. Yes, please. Great rainy day lunch.
I just left there, my first visit. I have to say this is a must try in portage park! The gumbo was absolutely delicious!

Drove over 30 minutes to try their jumbo and they were out. Only had person working. She was nice but I won’t be back.
A lil taste of NOLA on the NW side! Excellent beignits, meat pies are spicy and right on, gumbo beats quite a few ive had in NOLA (and Chicago too). Looking forward to having more breakfasts from them!
