My favorite bubble tea! Best in Chi-town! When ever I come to Chicago this is the first place I stop. So many flavor combinations to choose from you can't go wrong. I got the Dragon passion with mango popping boba, green mini boba, and mixed jelly. My wife got the Lychee-honeydew with tapioca, lychee popping boba, mix jelly and manho puddings.
We had a great family dinner here at Joy Yee. Shrimp Lo Mein, Pad Thai, short Ribs, and Teriyaki chicken were all fabulous. We each had fancy boba drinks and they were delicious and generously sized. I highly recommend; you will take your leftovers home!!!
The menu is outside, so to order you have to memorize all the add ins for your drink then to wait in line inside to order…very confusing when the menu has over 100 options and it’s drizzling rain down your back while you try to figure out what you want. The guy taking orders was rude about it and claimed he’d never had anyone else think it was a strange setup but the lady and children behind me had to walk in and out several times to remember what they wanted and were audibly saying the same thin. The restaurant is large so it’s not as if they’re lacking space, and it’s the middle of winter who wants to stand outside to decide their order???on top of all that when I get home, none of the three different types of bubbles and drink add in we’re in one of the two drinks I ordered. I called and asked if they would take the drink half of my bill. First he tried to just take a couple dollars off for the bubbles that did not get put into the drink, I explained I was not going to drink it because it was kind of worthless without the things that make it. He then told me that he would only take a drink my order if I send in a picture of the drink. this was after I told him I was already driving back to Indianapolis so there is no way I could just pull over in take this man a picture of my drink. Never going back again, the guy running the takeout counter is incomplete you know what.I have been coming to this location in Chinatown for a few years on my one or two visits a year to Chicago. A complete 180 has occurred with service since I was here maybe a year ago. Pretty disappointing because the drinks and ingredients are great but now you have to stand outside in the cold, deal with rude service, and potentially get the wrong drink after all that.
First time trying this place and I only got one of the frozen drinks. Red guava mango with strawberry pearls. It was so good. Wonderful fresh mango flavor. Highly recommend!
Joy Yee is a restaurant located in Chinatown. I ordered drinks there and didn't sit to eat. I ordered a durian & avocado freeze and it tasted amazing! This was my first time visiting from North Carolina and I would return again.
This is a nice place to eat. The staff was pleasant, everyone was pretty much comfortable, wide range of options on the menu (I love options lol), affordable, and the food was delicious. The only thing I would recommend for this place is restructure the arrangement for entering and exiting. Entering and exiting was, more or less, manageable. But with a number of people coming and going, just a little room for everyone to do so without bunching up would make a bit of difference (in my opinion). But, overall, really nice place! I would certainly eat here again and encourage others to do so as well.
Everything was great. The fastest service I’ve ever experience. Blink twice and here comes your food. Fresh and hot. Love this place.
Have been coming for their specialty drinks for few years, never disappoints! Their pineapple with double coconut and strawberry boba is my favorite. Food is also good. Customer service can be a little better, friendlier possibly. A very busy restaurant.
Joy Yee's has been a favorite of mine for many years. Their food is delicious! One of my favorite things is their beef fried rice! Their bubble drinks are also the best I've had! My favorite is the Mango Coconut Freeze with black tapioca. My family and I stop for bubble drinks at least twice a month during the warmer months but the cold weather also does not stop us from picking up a bubble drink every now and then. If you dine in their service is quick and attentive. I haven't ordered anything I didn't like. Highly recommend this place!
it was very busy night but we were seated pretty fast . Ithink tbey forgot ourtable though but I called onestaff and they were pretty on it. The food was delicious Pho brisket the bowl was huge probably better to share with 2/3 people . The taro and mango bubble teas were delicious . Everybody went to bed satisfied! :)
