Solid pizza and friendly service. Building is a bit outdated, but maybe that's part of the charm. Love that they are open late for inside dining. Surprised to discover that they charge for soda refills, so beware. But all in all a good experience.
OK SO ,THEIR LARGE PIZZA IS MORE LIKE A MEDIUM...THE SLICES ARE SMALL & ONE OF MY SLICES OF PIZZA DID NOT HAVE ANY SAUSAGE ON IT & WELL PRETTY MUCH EVERY OTHER SLICE HAD ONE SAUSAGE PER SLICE? THE TASTE QUALITY OF THE PIZZA IS GREAT" IN MY NEXT ORDER I WILL LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THE POOR QUANTITY OF TOPPINGS" HOPEFULLY IT WON'T BE A PROBLEM, CAUSE THEIR PIZZA IS PRETTY DARN GOOD" I WILL DEFINITELY EDIT MY REVIEW REGARDING MY NEXT ORDER

Pizza is amazing, we ate in after a bunch of pickups and were not disappointed. Server was literally running back and forth and pizza was just as good as always. Would love to see them open the bar up again
My order was placed at John's by mistake.?. We were nowhere nearby and a miscommunication caused the call to John's. But it was a good error because the food was delicious. I haven't had John's pizza in about 20 years and that first bite brought back wonderful memories. We will definitely order from them again when in the neighborhood.
We ordered a pizza which arrived like this… I highly doubt it left the restaurant this way and was dropped by the driver (who denied it when we called), but unfortunately the manager and the woman who answered the phone would only give us a credit for the restaurant and wouldn’t give a refund. Kiiind of a bummer.Their pizza is great, but order it to dine in.
I have been going to John's pizza for over 45 years. Without a doubt it's the best thin crust pizza in Chicago. Thank God they stayed in business.
I could write more but along with their great pizza, their fried chicken is the best. It's flavorful, succulent and totally non greasy. The broiled chicken is also good. I've been getting the fried chicken 1× week. Get some then you will know what I mean.
Been visiting this place since I was a kid. Their thin crust pizza is the best in Chicago, hands down!!! Service was super but I guess when you put an automatic gratuity on the check, you did need to give good service. Nevertheless, the pizza is amazing so I will be back
Restaurant is in a very old building, felt cold, understaffed, felt sorry for host/server. Pizza was delicious but baked pasta dishes were sent back to reheat as they were too cold. This restaurant's pizza history excellent but I suggested carry out or delivery service.
