Great experience just watched them feed homeless as they were closing with food that was going to be scraped warmed my heart definitely needs more community support!
Good food and good service. If I’m ever in Chicago again, I will stop in. The relleno de papa (meat stuffed potato ball) was delicious, the Mofongo was very good and the pernil (pork) Jibarito was great, our least favorite was the rice and that’s going to be the case, no matter where we go, because I make some pretty good rice and homemade is always best.
i usually get the jibarito but decided to try something different and it did not disappoint. this is the mofongo with pollo frito and a side of tostones and rice. the main meal comes with just a salad (iceberg and tomato) but i usually skip that.. tostones are extra crispy and thin and the chicken is extremely crispy and beyond delicious. this might become my go to

Ate half of it before I decided to make this review lol but this restaurant NEVER disappoints! Their food is amazing and I love it. This is a lechon sandwich with the rice. They followed my order with perfect precision. Worth every penny!
This places is total waste of time. I come from Lagrange IL to order for pick up. As soon as I get to this location on Kimball and Fullerton and park. I order my food. I like my carne frita fresh and alcapurias. For them to waste my time to serve meat that’s been sitting in the vitrina. So you made me wait 30 min to give me food that’s not fresh like I ordered??? Here are some pictures… smh waste of my time money and GAS!!!!

Jibaritos are to die for. Best one I have found so far. Arroz con Gondules is really good, too. Want to try something other than a Jibarito next time I go.
