I went to this restaurant on 7/22/2022. This restaurant has the perfect vibe and employees for any time of the day. I went for lunch and had the chicken curry with sweet tea. Entrées automatically come with sides that was awesome as well. It was really good and I enjoyed the man who was serving me. Definitely coming back!!

Ja’ Grill @Ogden Commons Yes, you got me!!? Without notice or prior notice on your website and not on your menu, you add a 15% service charge on the bill. I never - and I can say never - had or have a problem with tipping, even if the service is not good. I always, and I can say always, start with a 20% tip. Sometimes, and maybe most times, I calculate the tip from the “total” bill (tax included) The service charge is something Restaraunts are doing now, to recoup the losses from previous years and current losses, as well as the increase cost of food and other supplies. I get it, everything is costing MORE, and everyone is affected. But I believe there is a better way - honest way - to recoup your losses. ——***be transparent, and tell your customers up front, then let your customers decide if they want to still patronize your establishment. I actually thought- by law - restaurants are required to disclose any additional charges to a bill…..before the customer orders. It would probably be received better by customers if the restaurants increased most menu items the 15%, instead of the 15% service charge on the total. If your food is good or excellent, that 15% increase on the menu item would be accepted. I did ask what the extra service charge was for after seeing it on my bill and it was explained——- but I was disappointed that I had to ask. Because of the shock, I don’t think I will come back. And just to be clear, I did leave my customary tip of 20% for the wait-staff, but not at Ja’ Grill again.

The food was great, drinks are strong. I gave it 4 stars because my lamb chops had a LOT of fat on them.

My wife always orders from here because she knows I like the lamb chops ….after we were done eating she saw so much hair the bottom of the plate she got sick to her stomach. We won’t be dining here again because that is definitely a health code violation. The amount of negligence is astounding. I will not be dining here again.

The jerk lamb is a MUST have. I ordered the appetizer. It was seasoned to perfection and cooked just right. I recommend medium. Tip: Get the jerk sauce on the side if you're unsure about your spice tolerance. The jerk chicken entrée (pictured) was amazing. And finally the rum cake (pictured) with a shot of rum for a little extra mmph! There are no words. Chef's kiss. I would definitely recommend. All around great experience. The service was excellent. The drinks... heavy pour. This place is a gem.

Great portions and the food was amazing! Stephanie the bartender was amazing and really made the dining experience awesome! They have really stepped it up here! Truly will recommend to everyone!

Went here with my cousin for a girls day out and the vibe was great! The food was delish and the drinks and music were on point. If you’re looking for a nice and quaint place for a day out consider Ja’ Grille! You won’t be disappointed!

Sun,April 24th, my friend and I went there to eat. We requested a paper menu. We complained to the waitress that the menu was barely legible. Her comment was "Can't yall read?" We ordered a meal and drinks. Received the drinks ok. After a few minutes someone brought our meal in a carryout plastic bag. We complained. The waitress said she would take it back and have the kitchen put the meal on a plate. No Way! We paid for the drinks and left. I left a message for the manager to contact me. Have heard nothing! Would never set foot in the restaurant again. Very poor customer service.

Love the environment. Great customer service. The food I would rate a 3/5. I didn’t care for the red beans and rice. It was very dry and had literally no gravy to it at all. I literally had to ask the waiter for a side of gravy because there was none on my red beans and rice. The lamb chops I heard were one of the best selling things on the menu. However, they were very dry and over cooked. The drinks were amazing, and the chicken was good.

Before we were married my wife (a Jamaican), found out about this restaurant so we tried it. The atmosphere is beautiful and the place is lively!!! Everyone was nice and the waitresses were BEAUTIFUL!! The food was out of this WORLD (I had the jerked, honey wings, which I very HIGHLY suggest) and a Rum punch (lots of taste and lots of kick). The food was sooooo gooooood that we decided to have them cater our wedding. Their food was an absolute HIT!!! Everyone LOVED it and still talks about to this day!!! Hell, I’m going back there this Thursday and I’m excited to go!!!
