I always have a good experience going there. They have a nice staff and one of the best cappuccino I have ever tried!
Very rude staff. For the price of this underwhelming coffee you would think you’d receive good service but you’d be mistaken. I forgot to ask for my mocha iced, so I very politely asked for a cup of ice to pour my coffee into. She said no, I explained that I’d be the one pouring it, all I needed was ice in a cup. How hard is that? She said no again even though another women tried to say yes. Barely made eye contact with me at that. Ridiculous.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Chicago, IL. It's a pretty large space with some outdoor seating, but there is plenty of seating inside. Two rooms with slightly different vibes. One a bright brighter and has more windows with white walls the other a little darker.
Had an espresso on the way to a tour. the coffee was thick and nutty and buttery and good, and it was served with no time at all.
Alright, alright…I’ll leave a 5 star review. We all know Intelligentsia is great. Apparently they did a lot for third wave coffee in the states. I only wish they would do more with their power.Still, they’re the last remnants of the downtown coffee scene and their baristas are great. If you’re reading this review try out Metric and Four Letter Word, too.
When I first visited Intelligentsia about 6 years ago while traveling, I was blown away. When I came back to visit, another stop was high on my list of things to do. As a coffee lover, I enjoy checking out Intelligentsia, key representation of third wave coffee in the US. This location was particularly low key, a great place to get some work done and get a break from the cold. I loved trying their unique seasonal drink and I’m so glad I checked out this essential staple in the Second city a second time.
The coffee at Intelligentsia is always delicious!! This place in specific is quite small and very busy, but the service is excellent and they serve the coffee quickly. Definitely recommend it!
A great spot that serves high quality grounds and well prepared coffee! I love trying their seasonal drinks as they’re quite unique.
This is such a great place to grab a coffee and a croissant. Their coffee is delicious, especially the oat milk latte. The atmosphere is chill and a great place to sit down and warm up on those cold Chicago days (that is if you can find a spot, since it's always busy!). Definitely will come back.
At every new cafe I always order the same thing - a cappuccino and a croissant. This cappuccino was better than the ones I buy in Seattle I was very impressed. Croissant was pretty good and the shop had good ambiance. Friendly employees!
