Ordered an appetizer with a side of rice that I told her I wanted as a main dish and asked for it to be brought out with my daughter’s food. They still brought it out as an appetizer. When I reminded her I wanted it as a main meal I was told well your rice will be out later. I told her I wanted my food together and I would like it all to be warm. She repeated that my rice will be out in a little while and it should be warm then. She couldn’t understand the concept of bringing all the food out at once because this debate went on for another 5 minutes. I just gave up. They brought out the rice 5 minutes after the debate so about 12 minutes after they brought out my appetizer and yes it was cold. So I just talked as my daughter ate her warm food. When it came time for the bill she as if everything was good. I just looked at her and the cold food that I hadn’t touched and she asked again if everything was good. I told her, like i told you the appetizer was cold by the time the rice came out. She then offered to reheat it for me. I told her that’s what I wanted you to do 20 minutes ago, my daughter is finished with her food and we are ready to leave. She then asked if I wanted a to go box. So along with that and serving warm water with no ice I was kind enough to offer one star due to customer service. My daughter’s meal was good so I’ll give them that as well.
I’m sure the food is great but I don’t do wel when menus do not reflect the accurate price. I came here thinking I’d spend under $20 for some food and instead everything is $5 to $8 dollars more than their website, google and the sign outside. They have enough time and money to update their fancy menus inside which makes me even angrier at the situation. Are you trying to lie to people?! . By the time I realized my mistake I didn’t feel comfortable leaving. Also no rice or anything g with entrees? And naan is $4. Wow. Prices are out of this world at this place. And I wouldn’t be so upset if they had the prices accurate in the menu. Because I would t have come at this time. Ugh. Update your menu. Jeez. And to top of off $18 for butter chicken that doesn’t come with any rice and I got five pieces of chicken in my order. The chicken was dry and tough. Indian food in northern Michigan a is better and more affordable than this.
We enjoyed a delicious meal, on the patio, during a pleasant summer evening. The servers were extremely attentive. Smiles everywhere, which is always a great sign. I’m entering this spot on my “Nice” list.
wow really good Indian food. I never had Indian food and this place made it a great for my first time. I love their chicken vandloo perfect amount of spicy and their basamalti rice i think that what it was called but it was also so so good. Just more on the pricy side tho either way so good.
Cannot express the amount of disappointment with this place. Worst Indian food ever!Ordered Gobi Manchurian which tasted like it was fried cauliflower dipped in red color and honey. Then main course was kofta makhni and kadhai paneer. Exactly same gravy for both (shouldn't be!) And it tasted just as if it is tomato paste only. Again, the red color was added generously.Dal tadka was the only saving grace. It was ok at best. No tadka present though but at least tasted was fine.Tandoori roti and naan were about 4-5mm thick and very Chewey. Not eatable.Service was poor. Delivered rice first and nothing to eat with. Delivered main course but had to wait 5-10 mins for rotis. We were 6 hungry people. Had to stay hungry after meal here as well.Looking at the reviews, thought it would be at least a decent place but, this place is not even worth 1 star.
This placed served good food, chicken biryani tasted good. We've tried so many biryanis from Devon and I would say this one has the best. Made our chicken Tikka spicy like we wanted. Great customer service, good music. Don't ask for spicy if you can't handle it.
I love the food and have frequently ordered from here, but the carry out quality is changing for the worst. $6 Garlic naan came with 2 small pieces only, $18 for butter chicken with 4 pieces of chicken, and the taste/texture of the food is not as good as in person.
Order the paneer Tikka masala, navratan korma, garlic naan and the kashmiri naan here. All pretty average. The paneer Tikka masala had WAY too much tomato paste in it - felt like I was eating straight outta a tin of tomato puree because it wasn't cooked through nor was it balanced with cream. The naans weren't puffy, soft and melt in the mouth the way one expects a naan to be. The texture was off.The navratan korma wasn't navratan korma at all! It was more a cauliflower - potato curry which unfortunately didn't taste great because their was this overpowering taste of raw onion (and fennel seeds I think) in it.The service is great though. Our waiter was very attentive, helpful and considerate. 5 stars to him!
Food was okay. Gobi Manchurian was too sweet.Service was a bit slow. Overall an average Indian restaurant according to my experience.
Pretty standard, on the expensive side for what you get. I would avoid the lamb dishes they are stingy with the meat, my lamb Rogan Josh was all sauce last time, plus I had to wait 15 min beyond pick up time
