Cool little vintage coffee shop.. Great coffee didn't try the pies, but definitely will in the near future ??
There is one staff at the counter so the line can be really long if it's a busy day.The decor is very old fashioned. The menu is huge. There's a sanitizing scent when I'm in the store so I was concerned that the pie may not be fresh... I ordered chocolate cream slice and it's okay. It has good amount of cream and chocolate fillings but have to say that I've had better pie
Beautiful pies! This place has an amazing selection of pies and they taste so fresh. You can really tell they bake love into these pies, and I want to come back and try every pie they have on the menu. Just recently my husband and I got key lime pie and I’m not the biggest fan of key lime pies but this one tasted amazing and the crust is to die for! All of the flavors worked so well together and it really made his birthday special. Highly recommend!
Places like Hoosier Mama Pie Company are why I’m so jealous that I don’t live in Chicago. They offer several different pie slices, mini pies, and full size pies. Savory and sweet. They also do coffee and espresso drinks. It’s just so cool that there’s a little old school pie shop with seating options to relax and enjoy a gorgeous slice. I had the cardamom blueberry and it was one of the best pieces of pie I’ve ever had. So nice on a rainy day, or a sunny day, or for no reason at all. The woman helping me was incredibly kind too. Well worth a walk or going out of your way for.
I really enjoyed the spinach pie, and then all of the other sweets!!! You really can't go wrong!! The Kikwetu Kenyan Coffee that they serve as a specialty coffee pairs well with their bakery!!!
I love this tiny pie shop! Bakeries near me require advance orders for a whole pie. These folks make sweet AND savory pies AND hand pies. You can get a slice or a whole pie, plus tasty beverages to go along. Rotating menu of pies. Beware though, a fresh-made pie is not inexpensive. The tart cherry/apple pie I got for a friend's birthday was >$30...but utterly delicious with perfect crust. I also got a chicken pot pie and a spanakopita hand pie. SO good! Street parking only, but it was easy to find a space.
Great customer service. I wrote in the comments section that my fiancee has a nut allergy but I ordered a pie with almond extract. I was called 2 days before my pick up asking me about the almond extract and even reminded day of when I picked it. They made sure I was aware of the potential allergen in the pie that I ordered. We got the chocolate cream and Cherry clafoutis and they were both to die for. Will definitely be back for me!
This is a pie that will make your mouth water with desire. The chocolate cream filling has an extra layer of sweet flavor, and the crumble topping adds even more satisfaction as you bite into it to find those delicious morsels hidden underneath! I highly recommend Hoosier Mama Pie company!
This quaint little Pie shop is amazing. The crust on the chicken pot pie is delicious. Amazing pecan pie as well not the best for parking but you’ll go through the trouble to get a piece of this buttery goodness.
The pies were good!!!! They are really filling but they have a huge selection and we especially like the coconut flavoured pie!!!!
