It was very busy on Sunday evening and we sat at bar for some cocktails and beers. Nice bar view and delicious handcraft cocktails recipes. after 20mins we were assigned a semi-private table that was large and decent. The steak was truly No.1 in Chicago as all other reviews and press said. Seafood was fresh and high quality as well. The most impressive point from holu was the incredible service they delivered. This was unforgettable amazing experience in my life. Will be back soon

This place is a bomb and blew my mind. I loved everything. Service was great, staff is super upbeat and very engaging. I'd love to come here for my birthday next month. Definitely a must go if you're on a food tour. Bar area is also super slick with hundreds of wine selections and very relaxing.
Excellent asian steakhouse. The cuts quality were totally worth their value as you bite into succulent chunks of perfection. These can be enjoyed on its own or mixed with some classic banchans (ë°ì°¬-side dishes) that are served with your meat. Up to you! Vegetarians too can feast on a meat free version of the dishes available on the menu. You can book an early evening dinner and still be off to your next event without having to change clothes âthanks to the smokeless grills used on the tables.
Had a fantastic meal here! We did the Butcher's Feast and it was so much food. The cuts of meat were delicious and perfectly seasoned table side by our waiter. The decor is also beautiful and so fantastic! Best meat + best beverage in Chicago! I can't wait to return! This is the place that I can definitely do as my weekly spots for steak!
If you can get a reservation this is a must. Their wine list and sake line is extensive and staff is well versed. The grill table is phenomenal and catches the smoke, which is designed for their fancy steaks. The banchan you get is well made. They ask for your preference in temperature. The cuts of meat are beautifully marbled, especially the dry aged steaks really nutty creamy. The staff does a great job as they attend each table to turn and cool your meat. I cannot say enough on how well this restaurant does and this is definitely Korean & Japanese Grill highend fine dining right without comprising the flavors.

I'm Korean guy, I can tell holu is NOT traditional bbq stuff NOR the all you can eat spots. It is definitely a high end steakhouse with inspired by Korean tabletop grill style. These folks do it well. Weâve been coming here since they opened, and we were back again during this long weekend. The whole experience is top notch. Itâs recommended to get a reservation especially on weekend and holiday, so plan ahead or you won't get seats. The food is upscale (and the price shows), but if youâre treating your special someone for a special occasion (not the ring question!), this is honest, safe bet.
