Just like we remembered. We called ahead and the older gentleman took our reservation and said welcome back and come on in. Assorted chow mein and spicy noodles were worth the visit. Parking is still tight. They now offer bubble tea and fresh juice drinks. It's also BYOB if that's your thing. Place is larger than the old location. Clean restrooms.
Food just got here. It is nothing like the pictures. There is no sauce- and the food has no flavor. They didn’t add any soy, sweet sour or mustard packets and gave me hot sauce for the potstickers? Def overpriced and not worth it- very upset 8 month pregnant lady will not reorder- threw out the food.
The best fried rice I’ve had and the lollipop wings are delicious. I’ve been here so much as a kid and going back the food tastes just as good.
The lollipop chicken wings are my favorite!
Got some lollipop chicken for pickup. They taste great and they are well known for it throughout Chicago.I have been coming here for years and I'll be returning here for sure. However, today I noticed that one order had very little sauce in the bottom of the to-go container. Usually there is around 10 tablespoons and I was only able to get only 2. Just hoping this was a one time occurrence.
The food was really good and the customer service was above and beyond. I recommend this business to anyone in the area. Portion sizes are very big and the prices are good considering the portions. The bubble tea is very good too.
Chicago Magazine, Chicago Eaters and other are wrong! The Lollipop wings are over rated, they might be amazing in the old day when it was the "new thing" but today with all the great Korean & Filipino fried chicken this is 3/5 stars. What really bring the stars down are their other dishes. The portions are small, no wok flavor or tasty. I believe this place are for gweilo. The wait staff is amazing and super nice! Please update the kitchen staff.
My family and I have been coming here for about 20 + years. I enjoyed their other location because it was a bit different. Despite moving the food ingredients remain the same and their lollipop wings are to die for. You have yo definitely try their Mongolian beef. I promise you will not regret it.
The food from here has become a comfort food for me, I have been going here ever since I was a kid. I consistently get their spicy chicken wings, Mongolian beef, jasmine rice or fried rice, and tea. I have gone here for celebrations, dates, or just to enjoy a good time- their food seems to always hit the right spot. I have come to know the staff here well, and they are some of the sweetest people I know. I absolutely love this place and I can't wait to eat here again!
It's been a while to try their famous ganfengji(Lollipop Chicken). Sauce is good as before but the fried wings are terrible. It used to be crispy outside and soft-juicy inside. Not anymore. Now the fried wings are just dried up and hard like wood. It seems they didn't prepare the wings properly surfaced with the special batter. I heard there was change in the ownership. Probably that's why.
