Good bagels, but honestly such a pain to order. You're not able to make an order inside the shop itself, or even call them on the phone and place an order. I'm gen Z, tech savvy, but sometimes I just want to be able to walk into shop and place my order there. Please don't make me create ANOTHER online account just to buy a bagel ? I'm not even sure how it would work if you wanted to pay for your bagel with cash (I think you'd just be SOL).\\n\\nGenuine feedback for management: you're losing sales with this inconvenient system you have. There have been times when I've walked by and thought about getting bagel from y'all, but it was just too much of a hassle and I went to the left coast juice place for lunch instead.\\n\\n(Also your website doesn't work with Firefox mobile browser--you're not able to actually submit orders through it on that browser. Just another aspect of the hassle, I had to use a different browser)\\n\\nBut the food itself is really good. Brighton Beach sandwich is amazing. And their latkes are pretty tasty too.

I love this place. Bagels are big, chewy, and always fresh. They’re super generous with their cream cheese and it’s the only bagel place I can find near me that offers delicious vegan cream cheese- the vegan chive cream cheese is killer. Also, they are super prompt with their online ordering.

Absolutely fantastic bagels. The only reason they don't get a five star review is cost. By far the most expensive bagel place I've ever been to in my life. A basic bagel starts at three dollars. To be fair if you buy in bulk they do get a little bit cheaper. But even the other items in the store are super Duper expensive as an example $14 for a half pound of pastrami. And don't order the black and white cookies. They are not good

Very nice bagels, expensive though

I have gone to the original Gotham Bagels in Madison, WI a few times and it is always amazing. Then they opened in Chicago and I was pumped! This shop is right by my home and office, and I'm so glad they are a part of this neighborhood. I went in recently and had ordered the OMFG bagel sandwich. The woman at the the front desk was so warm and welcoming. She even helped me out after I made a mistake with my order online. I thought the customer service was amazing. The bagel sandwich was also delicious! People also need to understand the difficulties of owning a small business during Covid and post-Covid times. I hope they continue to thrive!

Honestly my favorite bagel shop in the city. The vegan chive cream cheese is unmatched. And the staff at the front is always so incredibly kind! They make my day every time I go in. I can tell it gets a little chaotic with the morning rushes but they always seem to handle it so well and problem solve like pros. Whatever they’re making, they deserve a raise!!

Best bagels in Chicago by far. Not sure why people are complaining about the online ordering… it’s more convenient than ordering a bagel in person and waiting 40 minutes there.

The bagels were sooooo good. Lox was fresh and they don't skimp out on it. Bloody Mary's were great too. They've done a nice job with the outdoor dining space. You don't feel like you're close to a busy intersection. Dog friendly. They become Eduardo's enoteca in the evenings and serve Italian food. Looking forward to trying that out in the future.

I went to pick up half a dozen bagels, plain nothing on them was told we had to order online and then when I ordered online they said it was a 30 minutes wait to put six bagels in a bag. It was a Monday with no one waiting for anything. I’m sorry but it’s absolutely ridiculous. It puts a bad name on New York bagels shops that operate at twice the capacity with half the space and this is coming from a New Yorker. I will definitely not be going back I am very disappointed

Bagel is good. However, they messed up my order both times visiting. It's pretty impressive considering it's all online. Additionally, nobody here really seems to care or have any lick of passion for customer experience.
