They bake all of the pastries/chocolate in house. So fresh!
A great place for awesome coffee and to get some yummy treats. It's beautiful if you're able to find a spot to stay and work (or people watch) only removing a star because there's been one too many times that I've gone and been given dirty cutlery.
I came here because of a video on Tiktok. Apparently half the city saw that same video bc there was no space and I took their last fork ? overall a really great space and the chocolate torte was amazing. Just wish I had someplace to sit down to eat it ?Edit: don't get the matcha tea. I could only taste milk and no matcha. It was pretty bad. Also I paid for a cake that was displayed and available and it was given to a different person and I had to choose a different cake. Still a pretty place but I think with the crowd it isn't worth it anymore to come here. I just feel like the staff and also the layout/space wasn't equipped/designed to accommodate the number of people coming. The overall quality got ruined. And one time they ran out of clean spoons and it was only mid afternoon.
Relaxing ambiance with plenty of cozy seating, good coffee, baked goods and chocolates. Wonderful staff and great service.
From the outside of an old warehouse in West Loop, the new pastry and coffee cafe appears small but Good Ambler is a very huge space with a very warm inviting ambience. Sofas for group of friends or high tables for one or two people. It has become popular and filled up with people sitting everywhere. The treats are amazingly mouthwatering delicious! I savored the holiday treat called Santa Belt. I will definitely go back and try their food and more treats! We went back again and picked bonbon chocolate and another fancy treat. The coffee is from Metropolis Coffee Co.
Loved this posh & modern coffee shop/bakery/chocolatier! It was really quiet when I came on a Saturday morning. The tall ceilings & modern furniture give this place a cool, airy vibe. All of the pastries & chocolates looked so good, it was hard to choose what to get. I decided to get the tiramisu pastry which was very yummy & had almost a cookie like base. The almond financier was moist & tender. The oat milk vanilla latte was also very good. They have a large open kitchen where you can observe the bakers at work. A bit pricey & service was decent. Very chill, relaxing place to enjoy some coffee & pastries.
We visited Good Ambler on 2/26. We ordered Quiche Lorraine, BLTA, 2 mocha lattes, Almond Streusel and Coffee cake to eat there. We also order a chocolate bread and two bonbons (Mexican hot chocolate and Cajeta) to go. The food was good. The chocolate bread and bonbons were amazing!! The lattes were meh. The service was mediocre. The staff member (white skinny male) didn't asked if we wanted our stuff to go or for there even though we showed him our vaccine card. Also, we originally ordered 3 bonbons but they were out of the passion fruit one. He charged us for all 3. Furthermore, finding a place to sit down and enjoy your food was near impossible. They should really think about having a communal table for those using laptops or put a time limit for the tables on weekends. It was ridiculous to see so many tables being taken by one person using their laptop.
I have fallen in love with their delicious pain au chocolat and believe me I’ve been in Paris and their French breads are as yummy, staff is attitude free and extremely friendly and polite A +, there aren’t enough tables so I had to share with a total stranger but everything else was A+. I’ll be back for more
The drinks, food and service were exceptional. Whenever we're in Chicago we'll be making this a stop.
Great variety of delicious pastries! I tried the “berry cheesecake” which was great and the “chocolate torte” if you’re a chocolate fan, you’re gonna love it!!!I also got the smoked salmon sandwich which is a bit pricey but so tasty & finally got an oat latte that was very good.Ambiance is cozy, it was easy to find a table. It’s a great spot to come by yourself or with friends.
