Remember, this place is cash only, but that's ok because it makes it easier for me to tip! :) Here's the truth, you are gonna be hard pressed to find any diner that beats the value you get at this place. The prices are stupendous, especially for the quality of breakfast food they serve. I have never been even remotely disappointed with my meal here. Although I have only ever gotten breakfast items, I. Confident that non breakfast food must be equally fantastic. My personal favorite thing is the sausage, I love breakfast food and I go to a love of places to obtain it, and the sausage here is top notch! Please come and show your support!!
Wow, this place is rather good at what they do. Food's good and quick. Service is just as good also. I was impressed with how clean and orderly the place is as well. The prices are good too.Go and have breakfast or lunch. You'll enjoy it.

Very disappointing experience, which was surprising considering the plethora of 5-star reviews. The food arrived cold and stale (albeit quickly), and the coffee was sub-par. The hashbrowns were just a soggy mess, the bacon was stiff and stringy, the sausage was burned (and then microwaved), and the $2.50 cheese added to the eggs was a single prepackaged slice of American. All in all, about a $6 value for the $25 spent. The atmosphere and loose inspiration for Patsy's Pies from Shameless isn't enough to justify the terrible food, unfortunately.

Hi, they are left to a Theater, and in the right place to eat, they are open to 3pm, with good, fast food, fair price, warn on a cold day, cool on a hot, with a new summer outside sitting. Many know who they are, and were they are, so at why their sometimes crowd. The golden house of Pancake have where a long, long time. A very old, family favor. The hour's change, the food, service, and good coffee, a traveling coffee pot. For people who like to eat out know, it means good service, good food, good feeling to remember and return to, a good place to go, stay, and leaves happy. Best to go early, or call for hours to enjoy, something at survive covid-19. And stay health for you, a nice time out.
This place seems to have been frozen in time, and it's awesome! The food is delicious and is prepared quickly. The service is excellent. Keeping with the old time theme, they only take cash. They do not accept checks or credit cards.
I think Golden House has the best breakfast in Chicago. Everything, from the first sip of coffee to the last bite of bacon is delicious. My husband and I usually order the 2-2-2-2: soft, fluffy pancakes, perfectly fried eggs over easy, crispy bacon (we skip the sausage links), plus we order a side of the corned beef hash. This is a great start to any day!
