Take me back!!! If you on a diet stay away. This place is diet free haha. Good food and nice staff. For sure one of the best place to try an authentic Chicago style pizza. We got the sampler as a starter and it was really delicious. Pizza takes more than 45 minutes to make but it’s worth the wait. Restaurant gets busy as well so maybe call a head before heading there to see how long is the wait. For sure a repeat and will come back again! Keep it up
The pizza is GREAT, and although they aren’t as well known for their spaghetti, it was still a delicious choice. I wanted to get true Chicago style pizza, and I’m so glad I got it here. They seated us quickly despite their being a lot of people in the waiting area! We had the nicest waitress in the world. Only complaint we had was that it was chilly in the window area, but was informed the heat doesn’t work at the moment.
Busy place during lunch time. Had to wait for the Chicago style pizza around 40min, but than again it was clear that they made it properly and that it is not an easy process. We were with 2 and hungry, managed to eat only half of medium sized. Yes this pizza deserves to exist, thou it was too much mozzarella for my taste. Definitely an interesting experience. Is it the best place to get this type of pizza I do not know but I got what I wanted and happy with the result, pleasant waitress, a bit loud inside.
When you visit Chicago you gotta have deep dish and there is no better place than Giordano's! The sampler appetizer is great. We loved everything. Remember it's deep dish so get a size smaller than you normally would.
Go here. Don’t go to Lou’s!If u google best deep dish pizza in Chicago, it will tell you to go here.Their deep dish pizza is so good and worth the wait.We ordered the Chicago classic and they were very delicious.
Pros and consThe pizzas here are TOO BIG and DEEP. (: I couldn't finish the second slice of my chicken sauce deluxe pizza that was for $24.65. I also ordered garlic parmesan fries for $5.25, in total with a tax $34.55. they also charge %3 COVID fee.The staff are amiable, serve you with a smile, and are very helpful in choosing pizza. The fries were delicious, but I cannot say the same for the pizza. My pizza had chicken and spinach, but I couldn't get the chicken or spinach taste. I think they use frozen ingredients not fresh ones. The pizza bread had a bit of a sweet taste. Maybe some people like it, but I prefer to have unsweetened bread on pizza.I want to go again, but I don't think I would get the same pizza.
It's not our 1st time, and we used to like going there if in Chicago despite the lines andc45min wait for a pie to cook. But on our most recent visit, 3 weeks ago, we believe our waiter should have warned us. We ordered the veggie but we added ham. We know there is a charge when you add ingredients. Of course. But when the bill came, tge pizza had been priced ingredient by ingredient so it was more than 45$, just for that one. We paid because that is what we ordered and ate. But we feel a warning would have been welcome, we would have stuck with veggie as is.
A good stop for deep dish pizza! Clean and bright restaurant across from Millennium Park, and we were quickly seated for lunch. The deep dish is tasty but our server Helen made the experience great! She was knowledgeable, positive and friendly. So glad we ate here.
I was in about two weeks ago. The host named Will was extremely rude. There were lots of confusion around timing and when we'd get a table as it was a big party, First we were told it was a 25-30 min wait, then that it was a 45 min wait, and then we were told we were getting a table right away. Walking in we were expecting to wait for a while since it was a busy night, but because there was so much confusion the other two hosts were trying to be super accommodating except for Will. He was very stand off ish and very unprofessional. We eventually got seated thanks to who I assume was a manager. While we were waiting for our table to be ready the rest of the employees were off handling other tasks and a few of who I assume were Will's friends walked in - he spoke very loud and told them that "everyone is so stupid, no one ever listens to me" and then laughed it off. Again, very unprofessional for someone who is the first point of contact with guests. Would rather dine at a different Giordano's than have to run into him again.
Visiting the windy city without trying the deep dish pizza invented here would be a heresy for any pizza maniac like me. Giordano's has several locations throughout Chicago, but this served us best, very close to our hotel. We took the Chicago Classic pizza which was super delicious and full of flavor. The only downside is a long waiting time of around 45 min to prepare it. Our party of 3 ordered the Medium size which was quite enough, even had two pieces left for tomorrow. Service was very friendly and attentive.
