5 This place has it all: exceptional food, service, and ambiance. We had the truffled mozzarella sticks, which were good but the real delight was the pork saltimbucca, and the lovely sides- smashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts- pure heaven. The smoked salmon Caesar was only ok. Wine list was terrific and the service was positive, prompt, and knowledgeable. I love this place!

The atmosphere here was incredible for a date night! The music and lighting perfectly adds to the mood. The service was phenominal as they really connect with you and make sure you have the best experience! The bruschetta was to die for and my partner said it was the best bread he’s ever had. The cookie skillet for dessert was so rich and just the perfectly filling end to the night. When going, don’t forget to check out the photobooth downstairs! It definitely adds to the experience. We will 100% be coming back here on our next trip!

One of the best happy hours in Chicago that give you the most bang for your buck. A great selection of drinks and bites for $5 and the mussels are TO DIE FOR (get extra bread to soak up that fab white wine sauce). It's not too loud and away from all the noise of the mag mile and not super busy like the west loop. A great place to have on the list!

We just recently moved out of Chicago and the saddest part was that we'll leave Gilt behind. We had one final meal and as always, it was spectacular. The Truffle Mozzarella Sticks were phenomenal. We've never had them before but man, crunchy, cheesy, and the sauce that came with them was a great compliment. The Truffle Pasta and Spicy Rigatoni also were just as great as they have always been. Perfectly cooked pastas, delicious sauces, just a perfect bite every time.If you still have never tried Gilt, make a reservation today. You'll love it.

Ann-Marie is an amazing asset! So knowledgeable on drinks and food and the friendliest server I've had all year. Definitely ask to be in her section! Ricotta gnocchi and espresso martinis.are delicious also!

A vibe of a restaurant. Dark, grungy, sophisticated like a classic whisky. The food was delicious and our server Anna Maria was impeccable. We ordered 2 appetizers: the burrata and the steak tare tar both were served with homemade sourdough bread that paired perfectly with the food. Then for the main course we got the burger and the French dip both were AMAZING. Flavorful, perfectly cooked and huge portions. The fries were ever so salty but still good! Then we topped it off with dessert, can’t wait to come back!

Gilt probably has the best happy hour in the city. It's what got me in and the environment, good food, and friendly service is what keeps me there into the night. The ambiance is great and perfect for a date or catching up over drinks. Highly recommend the Mussels, the sauce is superb.

My partner and I decided to check out Gilt Bar after hearing many good things from our associates. Safe to say that it exceeded our expectations! The service was great and the food was even better. We had the meatballs to start and they just melted in your mouth. For dinner, we had the swordfish, smashed potatoes and spicy rigatoni. It was by far the best rigatoni I have ever had! The vibe of the place was nice as well. Very romantic and cozy. Highly recommend!

Delicious drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert!

Super sexy restaurant. We ate downstairs at the Library. Beautiful atmosphere, felt very Chicago. The food was 50/50. My date’s ribeye steak was yummy but also VERY fatty. Asked for medium but it was a bit on the rare side. For a $60 steak, I expected more to be edible (so fatty). For my spicy rigatoni, the sauce was pretty good but the noodles were borderline too al dente and also pretty uneven. Some pieces were perfect and some were hard. (And I usually like my noodles al dente). The wine and bacon were good. We also got bread which was amazing. Sadly, I think the bread was the best thing I ate. Overall, I would come back for atmosphere alone and I would get neither of these dishes again. We did not try dessert. Maybe I’ll try again 1 more time when it’s not so busy…Edit: we took home the leftover fat to give our dog. The 2nd picture is the left end piece which is just a large hunk of fat.
