During our family trip we stopped in on a whim. The atmosphere was festive with so many enjoyable moments throughout. Service was quick and friendly. We all bought a sundae and it was huge and delicious.
We came here one evening after strolling along the Riverwalk. It was crowded, but we were able to get a table quickly. The ice cream was delicious and the hot fudge was thick and rich.
Chocolatier par excellence. I like the (new?) location in the Wrigley Building. You can always look forward to the sumptuous treats on offer and even though it was 4th of July and a minor downpour at 6pm, the lines were not at all long and the table/counter service was quick. Recommend the chocolate brownie (warmed), if you've never tried it before, but unless you dislike chocolate, can't go wrong here. ?
I've been getting sundaes from here since before covid. They used to serve their sundaes in a glass container with tons of topping, but they seem to have cut back on quality. Since covid, they now serve sundaes in plastic containers with fewer toppings or chocolate fudge. The amount of ice cream remains generous but given the contrast between my experiences prior to and after covid, I'm not sure it is as good as it was. That said, I would still recommend someone who hasn't tried it to give it a shot because the chocolate aspects of their sundae is still very rich and delicious.
Great location, amazing building, two story chocolatier and ice cream shop! It’s a fantastic experience for a relaxing cooling stop. The ice cream is good but the building is nicer ? I also ordered a almond Latte which was very good ! So far Chicago is fun ?
Excellent staff, friendly and efficient. Absolutely delicious ice crem and confections. Very much the old-fashioned ice cream parlor vibe. But priced for the market - not a budget cone kinda place.
I usually purchase only chocolate at this shop, but I decided to taste ice cream with white chocolate and caramel this time.I ordered Cold Rush White Caramel. It has vanilla, nuts, caramel syrup, sea salt topping, and whipped cream for $15.45 (including tax).It was delicious, and I enjoyed eating it while walking along the river under the sun. Lots of calories, ? but definitely worth it. (:
I had no idea Ghirardelli had an ice cream shop, but what a great surprise! I ordered the ice cream sundae and it was delicious. This place can get rather busy, so please make sure you plan enough time for a line.
My wife and I were walking around Chicago and decided to stop at Ghiradelli. We have visited their other stores in San Francisco, San Diego and Florida and always enjoy our sundaes. We both chose the hot fudge sundae and they were very good as usual. Each location also houses a candy store. When you arrive, you place your order at the counter, pay and are called when your order is ready. Ghiradelli always serves a quality product.
Great place for chocolates, ice creams, sundaes and shakes! The shakes are very thick and really heavy, even the smallest size. It will easily replace a meal! The shakes we ordered weren't overly sweet, which is how I like them to be anyway.
