I've tried a couple of Jamaican jerk chicken places but this is the best one !! Chicken isn't dry. Cabbage is so good! And the macaroni is the best I've ever tasted!!!
The food is good but nothing special, I've had much better Jerk Chicken in the UK. The reason for 1 star however is they refused to give me tap water and even lied saying they have no taps, which is illegal and unacceptable. They also said they had no cups or glasses even though they serve hard spirits, so do people just drink straight from the bottle?
A local favorite, let's make sure we keep them open not many left. I ordered there first some years ago then invited my family and friends. So far my grandmother, father and friend order the lunch special when they can.
The food was excellent and the portions were great. Had the 2 meats with 3 sides enough to share. Oxtail with stewed chicken--just falls off the bone and seasoned nicely.
My daughters and I had an early dinner. I had the King fish with plaintains, rice and pea. Danielle had oxtails,cabbage with pea and rice. Kenyatta had jerk chicken cabbage, rice and peas. There was no waitstaff but we were able to dine in
I ordered the 6 whole jerk wings with 3 sides, Mac n cheese, Belizean potatoe salad and Candi yams... They are pricey but I love their food...
Wonderful food! Definitely make this a visit during your trip to Chicago.We had the conch fritters, ox tails, jerk chicken cabbage, rice and peas... All were delicious!
I took the risk of ordering from Garifuna Flava for the first time through Uber Eats ? The food arrived within the hour surprisingly. I got the Jerk Chicken w/ 3 sides; rice & beans, mac & cheese, and fried ripe plantains. I also got an order of their Belizean potato salad. Definitely satisfied ?
Omg this place is amazing. I came here a few years ago but I don’t remember how good the food was until I came today. The jerk chicken and rice is so good, As well as the Jamaican Rum. This place is an must visit ?
Love Garifuna, don't get there as much as I would like but when I do I'm never disappointed.
