We had a wonderful meal at Galit. Each dish was so creatively prepared and so delicious. I enjoy Middle Eastern food and this was the most outstanding meal I have had of that cuisine in years. The waitstaff are personable and professional and they added a really sweet touch for our special occasion there. They did a great job substituting for some food allergies I have and were really attentive to that. The meal was one of those rare ones I find memorable over the course of time. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly. You really need to reserve here well in advance to get a time in the evening that you want. I can't wait to go back!

The tasting menu is amazing! Everything is super fresh & flavorful. The turkey entree was my favorite. The to-go cookie at the end is a great touch

Genuinely one of my favorite restaurant experiences of all time. I have eaten at Galit or carried out at least 10x and I have never had a bad meal. A well deserved Michelin ⭐️, and one of the nicest teams of hospitality professionals around!

I wouldn’t clamor to go here again. ?‍♂️ A lot of hype and the price point is high. I spent 120 and was not blown away. The falafel is a must. The saffron rice ball things are a must. The pumpkin dip was great. The rhubarb dessert was fire. The rest was borderline forgettable and a lot of meat ?. The cookie they gave us at the end was bussin ?

I've been to other Michelin star restaurants. Some of the best Middle Eastern and Israeli food I have had!Lots of options and very affordable compared to other Michelin star restaurants. Nothing out of the ordinary, so a very comfortable dining experience all around. I left very full from their $69 full course and I am a 205lb+ man.Simple Middle Eastern staples across the menu. Pita is made to order in a hearth oven. Very affordable. Hip place that's great for sharing food in a group or on a date. You will leave full. Impressive wine selections, especially from the Middle East. Not super creative, but nothing wrong with simple done well. The Pastrami and the Carrot Cake is to die for!

Galit was amazing. Went here with the girlfriend for her birthday. It was our first Michelin star restaurant we've ever tried. Great atmosphere. We sat at the kitchen bar. The fixed menu is easy. Server was really knowledgeable. Wine menu was very unique with a lot of middle eastern wines you don't see many places.

This restaurant recently earned their first Michelin star and it's no wonder why! This is my new favorite Mediterranean place in the city. The food was spectacular, the staff lovely, and the location was great. It's nice to see good restaurants in Lincoln Park (and not in West Loop).I adored the hummus and the homemade cheese from the appetizer course, the cabbage and rice dish, and the rice pudding dessert (these were from their Restaurant Week menus). Everything we ate was amazing though! They have a regular fixed price menu for dinner that looked amazing, so you should definitely check it out!

The restaurant was recommended by a friend for our anniversary dinner and it was the best! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about what they were serving. The food was fantastic and their wine list outstanding, with lots of unusual wines. We hope to return one day.

Since Galit was awarded a Michelin star for 2022, we thought it was time for a return visit to this modern Israeli restaurant. We're glad we went. Now they offer only a 4-course tasting meal but you still get choices. They start you off w/ one of 3 hummus plus fluffy house-made pita, nicely charred and warm from their oven, together with 4 small dishes of salatim. These are small dishes of various spreads, pickled vegetables and labneh to combine (or not) and eat with the pita. Then they bring mezzes, one per diner, which are warm appetizers. Out of 6 choices we selected foie gras filled blintzes w/ blueberry compote and slivered almonds plus the Iraqi kubbeh halab (minced lamb w/ currants in a deep fried ball with a crunchy saffron infused crust). There were 2 of each to share. Then you get a small main course from the coal fired grill. We chose Tangier sausage and Armenian pastrami. The pastrami came with a Yemeni flatbread the was flaky and layered like strudel dough. Finally one dessert to share. We arrived around 6 pm and were immediately seated. We'd reserved seats at the kitchen counter facing the action. Service was cordial and very smooth, Our waitress Lauren checked on us at intervals to make sure we had everything we need and were pleased with our selections. As each dish was brought, the runner announced the ingredients in them and, if asked, offered advice on how best to eat them. On a week night, though it filled up, there were a few empty seats and the noise level was not too loud. It was an ample meal. We left full and happy with two wrapped cookies they handed us with the check to take home. They charge $68 per person + an "optional" 5% fee to cover employee health insurance. With drinks, tax and tip, it was close to $220 for the two of us. Not cheap but fair, we thought. Parking is scarce; it's best to take public transit, cab or ride-share. They are still checking to make sure patrons are vaccinated though they have relaxed the mask requirement for guests. Staff all wear them.

? One of the rare upscale Mediterranean spots that shines bright because of its service and exotic food. They have a 4 course with a choice for 3/3 courses. Drinks are extra and they add a employee insurance charge to your check. We spent around $190 for 2 with taxes for dinner + 2 cocktails. Appetizers are delicious and the shawarma for entree is perhaps the best dish. We were a little disappointed with their recommended falafel. A little too hard to chew. Everything else was amazing. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 2 yr anniversary and the service made the dinner extra special for us with personal touches like a staff-signed card, cookies to-go and free champagne.
