Best sushi in Chicago
Very high quality sushi in a very neatly designed restaurant. It was extremely busy when I went (around 8pm on a Tuesday) but it made complete sense the second I tasted their food. The rolls are quite fairly priced and one of the lowest priced restaurants in the area at that time of night.Cons:The person working the register seemed like she was spread a bit thin but was still super polite and worked as quick as she could.I highly recommend making a reservation before trying to go just to be sure you will be able to get a table. Even though I made one and arrived on time I was seated about 25 mins later.The only other con I could give aside from the place being busy is the lack of non-alcoholic drink options, but even then it's manageable.Pros:Everything else.No, really. The chairs were super comfortable, the food was incredible, the service was surprisingly fast after I was seated, and the rolls were priced low for how good quality they are.It was just a good overall experience and 100% worth the wait.
The food was great, but the service was a little bizarre. We first go served food that was not ours. We then seem to have missed food we had ordered. The waiter then came and removed our plates, so we thought the next course was coming. We were then presented with the check. No question about desert etc. as i say bizarre, but the food we had tasted good.
Adorable cozy chill spot. Service was lovely and the ambiance was great. Food was delicious. Iâll be visiting again next time Iâm in chicago
Great tasting sushi that is well executed and with great variety. Friends sushi delivers on a solid experience with good quality sushi and special rolls to suit every taste. Highly recommended trying the spicy edemame before diving into sushi. We will be coming back.
The sushi was awesome, with some creative rolls. Spicy Miso was really good, specialty drinks were really good. Service was great too. Atmosphere was not great but cozy, background music was awful, but not too loud. Only real disappointment was the bill.

Order the salmon donburi. The salmon is melt in your mouth fresh and the rice has that distinct rice wine vinegar taste and pop.Note - the Wasabi is not for the faint of heart. Super fresh. Super hot.If you order sushi go with the Rush Roll without cream cheese and the sweet potato role.
