Worst experienced eating from this restaurant the baked potatoes were hard like rocks dried. I ordered whole chicken they sent me only 4 pieces 2 big breast 2 legs old dried chicken with no taste at all plain taste with too much lemon. I ordered small fries they didn't send them I ordered hot cheese for fries they sent me a ridiculous American cheese slice melted on the microwave
I always order gyros so I don't know about anything else on the menu but I do like the gyros and keep ordering it.
Staff are friendly and food is great. We love to get the jumbo shrimp and ribs.
I have been coming to franksville since I was 5 years old. They have been a staple of consistency in my life as the menu, most of the interior, and signage has remained untouched by time. They have the best cheese fries in the city & I bring everyone I know here at least once. If I lived closer I would be here several times a week.
Ordered to cheese burgers. FantasticGood stuff.Years ago went here on Fridays for the Shrimp dinners. When my wife worked at Montclair bowing alley. Good food here .I've tried most everything on the menu.
$23 for one dry Italian sausage two hot dogs and one order of large fries. I look when I get home and a simple order is all screwed up and on top of that I was charged a 68 cent service fee. I think I ate at Franksville the year they opened, 1964. Im not sure though because I would have been only five or six years old. For some reason I haven't eaten there again until now, 58 years later. I can't believe I missed out for all these years.Every time I've passed it, and I mean EVERY time, it occurred to that I'd like to go there again but for some reason I haven't. I only recently found out that they have a lot more than just hot dogs. You can get a full dinner here and even dessert. Their service is helpful and friendly. The dining room is spacious, well-lit, and clean. Their fries are crispy on the outside and hot and fluffy on the inside. I would like to try their ribs next time I go and yes, I WILL be going back and I'm not going to take years to do it this time. Also, if you like foot-long hot dogs, this is one of the few places around that still has them.
Came to get a 10 piece Jumbo shrimp tonight and it was delicious. Drive thru experience was superb. Prices seem to have gone up but it was worth it!
One of the best restaurants in Chicago , best cheese fries in the city. Great customer service , great management & ownership. Always enjoy coming night time.
I have been coming to Franksville forthe past 15 years. Unfortunately, few visits over the past few months had forced me to write share my experience.My last order I ordered a meal (hot dog, fried and drink) when I picked up the order I was missing a drink so I told the personel about it. They gave me my drink and I went home. Only then I noticed i was charged for the whole meal 2nd time when I told them about the drink.Today, when I came home and sat down to eat with my kids I was dissapointed yet again. The fries smelled of old oil and corn doog seemd as it was fried 2-3 times before.It breaks my heart to say I will have to stop coming to what it once was my favorite gyro place.
