The name speaks for itself, the food is excellent and very flavorful and always served hot, nothing out of a can here, trust me I have recomended Flavors Southern Cooking to all of my friends and family. The owner and staff are the most pleasant and gracious and keeps the restaurant a nice and clean atmosphere. My Chicago Ave family and I will definitely keep coming back.

There are not enough POSITIVE words to explain how I feel towards Flavor's. From the initial call, to the follow-up of my Order, to the delivery, to the set-up and then the finale...THE FOOD! A-MA-ZING!!! The Owner, PROFESSIONAL. Her staff, PROFESSIONAL. The Food - Great! My job hosted a Juneteenth Celebration and it was my task to order the food for 75 people. I was given several restaurants to look at and none of them opened before 4pm (not good). I Googled "black-owned restaurants near me". Flavor's was #4. I called...Jackie answered..."and the rest is history".If you are looking for a GREAT Black-Owned restaurant, Flavor's is the place to go!Thank you so much, Jackie...everyone LOVED the food.

The fried catfish was crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. This place is legit. Delicious!

Food was incredibly delicious. I hate to complain, just need a clearer menu of sides, although they had the meats listed on the board. Will definitely be back!

Hi. Me& my husband visited this place we enjoyed the good customer service. The food was good I the smothered chicken and sweet potatoes and dressing and greens&Mac annd cheese that was ok all was flavor.I will go back.Hope u enjoy ?

Visiting Chicago from Columbus Ohio and we wanted some real soul food. I tried many dishes and I liked everything. My favorites were the potato salad, yams, fried chicken, greens and the Mac n cheese. Ribs and peach cobbler were good also. I was raised on good southern cooking! Will go back again. If you're traveling from out of town I would take a trip to this local eatery! The Chef and server were really nice. Met some nice folks while eating.

My first time here today, Ordered a Veggie Plate was tasty and Soul Food with a favor twist wasn't bad at all. Didn't care for the Collard Greens, But the Cabbage and Red Beans and Rice was Very tasty. Will return to try some more Items. Staff was Very Pleasant and the place was very clean. Neighborhood Gem.

went in today first time trying ordered backed chicken w greens and yams catfish dinner with mac and greens. let me just say food wasn’t that good nor hot waited 15mins for not even “hot” food mac and cheese was ok kinda watery. Greens we’re salty & too much stems, yams had a generous amount of cinnamon not really sweet then the cornbread was dry and hard but overall it was ok not the best kinda disappointed wouldn’t recommend.

Definitely the best soul food in Chicago hands down. Food so good I almost ate my hand you have to try it out. No matter what you choose you won't be disappointed and that's a fact.

Drove from Lincoln Square, and worth the trip. Not much for decor, but the food and friendly service was amazing. My wife normally doesn’t like greens, but she agreed these were some of the best. The catfish is excellent. Though people coming in were disappointed they were out of pot roast, so I’ll have to come back to try that.
