On our way to Lincoln Park Zoo, we stopped by Firecake Donuts for some delicious snack. And Delicious it was….we got the donut with pistachio and the other one with coconut cream. The pistachio one was a bit too sweet for our taste but we both enjoyed it. Me and my boyfriend both agreed that the coconut cream donut was HEAVENLY, everything was balanced and it was DELICIOUS. Not only did we enjoy the donuts, we also loved the customer service they provided.
For sure some of the best donuts I’ve eaten in my life. I tried the carrot cake and the old fashion pistachio. I walked across town twice to obtain donuts from this location because they were so good. The texture is incredible and the donuts are dense but have a beautiful lightness to them. They’re also not overpoweringly sweet which is nice. Just the perfect balance of everything. The employees were incredibly kind, too. Obviously like being there and make you feel very welcome. Great location and the case was fully stacked with donuts.

Stopped here for a quick treat whilst shopping. Very cute, quant donut shop with some unique flavors/ingredients. I got the almond lemongrass old fashioned donut with a pumpkin spice latte. If I had just gotten the donut, I would give this place 5 stars. However, I got a latte as well and it was so watery and cold when I got it. For a $5.50 latte, I was extremely disappointed. Donuts definitely are this places sweet spot, though. The donut was flavorful, had great texture, and wasn’t overly sweet. I’d definitely go back. Just for the donuts!
