In a few weeks, I plan to bring my students for a tour of Harold Washington Library, so my husband and I decided to check out the burgers and shakes since we plan to bring the students to Epic Burger after their tour. I heard that the burgers were pretty good from the reviews that I read...and OMG, I can heartily agree ! The burgers and fries were Delicious and my Lemon Ice was the BOMB ! It was So Good ! My husband had the vanilla shake, and it was great as well. I can't wait to tell my student that they are in for a pleasant lunch experience. The staff were so nice and the place was clean. Thanks Ken and Andy for the great service !
I think my 10 yr old said it best this was an epic fail! Nothing down right atrocious but not good either. We picked Epic burger because it was close to Hotel Blake where we stayed. The customer complaining about her food when we walked to the register should have been a clue but we had had enough pizza ? this trip (ginos east is #1)! We also picked Epic burger because they dont have mushrooms and my wife is very allergic regardless we did take the warning signs and ordered 2 burgers a chicken sandwich hot honey or something and a chicken tenders 3 fries and onion rings with drinks (ugg Pepsi products) 80 bucks $$$ honestly the food was worse than McDonald's meat was dried out flavorless. The hot honey chicken was so sweet you couldn't even taste the pepperjack or jalapeños fries where limp and flavorless the onions where over cooked yet batter was soft and under cooked not sure how that accomplished. Just very basic at its best
I love when they give you scrapes of fries. I already dipped one in sauce before my brain registered the nonexistent amount of food. But hey at least my 9 fries were room temperature.
The cowboy burger had all the indulgence I love in a burger and left me feeling a bit less weighed down than some other. The fries and my cookies and cream shake were also great. The staff a super friendly.
Definitely a great idea to have some grub while I was hungry. Appetite was easily satiated with their classic burger and fries! Cooked fresh and fast service.
Came in on my lunch break, the gentleman working the register was polite, quick and helpful. The food was hot, fresh and delicious!Definitely gonna be coming back. Also Fall Out Boy was playing at one point, that was pretty cool too!
It was the best burger that my husband & I have had since t h e start of the pandemic!
3 stars might be a bit harsh, if I could I'd probably give it more like 3.5 or even a bit higher, yet somehow I can't justify 4 stars to myself.I had the special jalapeño-something burger, which turned out a bit less than I was expecting. Less of what? Pretty much less of everything: less spice, less flavor, and less quality of meat. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely decent and worth trying. On the positive side, the burger was also less heartburn-inducing than I expected. I didn't really appreciate the piece of grisle that nearly broke a tooth, though. The fries, however, were actually excellent, which definitely improved my experience overall, helping me to forget the bad parts about the burger and only remember the good times (aka the sauce that dripped on them).Sidenote: If you eat in, you might want to brace yourself for unexpectedly loud music. Not "loud" really, but very present and way harder to tune out. Just my luck, they were playing my least favorite type of music: overproduced vapid country-pop, so that might have influenced the bad taste in my mouth.
Absolutely delicious and worth the price. The culture of the restaurant inside is different and noticeable with amazing music. The only problem is to have fries is a separate price. If they had combos with the burgers.
The food was good. The fries was crispy but not over crispy. The avocado is a real one not that mush you get at a lot of other. The only complaint I have is all the tables were very dirty.
