We strongly recommend ECBG cake studio for your wedding or other event! We worked with ECBG for cakes for our wedding and my bridal shower and were simply blown away. Everything from the design of the cakes to the flavor to the consistency was absolutely divine. Erin, the owner, went above and beyond to understand our fantastical garden-party vision and advise us on how to execute while staying in our budget. Thank you, Erin and ECBG team!
We were very optimistic during our cake tasting and design meeting. She showed us a pervious cake which we used for inspiration, in turn we drew a mockup of our vision which was submitted with our final order to clearly communicate expectations. The final product was disappointing because Erin failed to communicate her artistic changes. Our issues were: 1) Geometric flex frost design was sloppy and incomplete. The flex lines should have been cohesive and around the entire tier 2) Damage to the base layer 3) Dents on the top tier We reached out after our wedding for an explanation. Erin apologized stating: "The small dent on the corner of the hexagon happened during transit. Sometimes we have to weigh the risk involved with fixing it, which may result in making it more noticeable or worse. In this case, instead of redoing it, I painted over the knick hoping it was small enough to be overlooked. " "Although there is a degree to which we cannot control due to our medium being food. We try our best to make each cake perfect, but they will never be ACTUALLY flawless because it is food." "Flex frost, the product we use to do the geometric lines in which we laser cut and hand apply is a thin film that melts when you touch it. It was applied with expert care and attention. Again, as it is food, it will never be actually perfect, and if you look at the photo we had provided as inspiration you will see gaps as well (I am not sure where that mock up came from that you all provided- it was not indicative of the photo we had on your order form originally)" Be aware if you go with ECBG your cake may be damaged during transit, your cake will not be flawless and she will overlook details such as a mockup submitted with your final order. The cake did taste AMAZING and showed up on time. She loses stars for communication and customer service. You should not change someone's design and surprise them on their wedding day. Unacceptable. We absolutely loved our ECBG wedding cake!! It was beautiful and tasted delicious! Every flavor we tried at the cake tasting was incredible!! We'd pick another ECBG Cake Studio cake in a heartbeat!
I've ordered from ECBG twice, once for a bachelorette party cake and one for my dad's birthday, and both were amazing. For my dad's bday, I went with a chocolate naked drip cake with dark chocolate ganache filling and it was delicious and so sophisticated looking. I emailed back and forth with Sarah, and she helped me with some customization that made it look more "birthday." Despite my vague request, her suggestions came out great; we went with some gold flakes and gold candles which cost a bit more to add, but were worth it.My dad is not really a cake guy, but he would not stop raving about the cake to the point where he joked that I'd have to ship him one next year. He said it's the best cake he's ever had, no joke.
We loved working with ECBG for our November wedding. They created a beautiful colorful spackle cake and decorative cookies that were so delicious. They were very easy to work with, quick responses, knew exactly what we wanted based on a couple inspo pictures and answered any last minute questions we had leading up to the big day. We couldn't have been happier with our cake & cookies and can't wait for next year to eat our top tier! Thank you ECBG!

ECBG made the most fabulous cake for my dad's 80th birthday party! It looked just like a bottle of Laphroaig scotch and they made all the personalizations I asked for. Everyone was wowed and it was the hit I wanted it to be - it really made the whole party. And it wasn't just a pretty exterior - the cake itself was absolutely delicious!

My wedding cake was AMAZING!!! It looked exactly like the drawing I sent them and tasted delicious! I had to go through talks with a large number of bakeries, both because I have an alternative style relationship, and because most were refusing to do my design in buttercream instead of fondant. (I was a pro cake designer for years, so I knew it could be done, the other bakeries were just being lazy.) But when I contacted ECBG, they were friendly and more than willing to make the cake I was asking for! Also, EXCELLENT quality and price! They made the process painless
