I visited Dusek's Tavern on Wed Aug 10, 2022 with my wife and another couple. It was a Wednesday night at 6:30 pm so it wasn't surprising that it wasn't packed. The service was first class as was the food and drink. The ambiance was very conducive to talking without yelling or struggling to hear and there was music that was in the background to "fill the space". We had a great time and were mostly full after the 4 starters but we went ahead and ate most of the 3 main courses and two desserts anyway.
Wonderful service, attentive, friendly but not overbearing. Like the new menu including some wonderful salads. Great burger and perfectly cooked crisp salty fries. It is a place I keep going back to and happy that I did.

I found Dusekâs on an Eater Chicago list when I googled brunches on the south side. Itâs in Pilsen but since I live in Andersonville, it may as well have been the south side. Ambience is very quiet and a little dark/moody. Staff was very helpful and food was very good. They have special pastries and I bought a $5 biscuit, but it was the best biscuit Iâve ever had in my life. Recommend.
