Great atmosphere, excellent food and service!

This place was quite disappointing for me. I expected more of an Irish pub type theme but it turned out to be more of a lower rent type sports bar. The place did not seem to be to clean, menus were laminated pieces of notebook paper with handwriting on them and the service was less than desirable. Waitress seemed put out that we were even there. We did not try the food and the drinks were just mediocre. I asked for several drinks that they either did not have or did not know how to make. It is in a great location too which makes this a little bit more of a let-down.

Usually stop in for lunch, food is great. Decided to take a friend here for dinner, the waitress put 18% gratuity on my bill for a table of two. Showed me the menu which stated gratuity is for parties of 5 or more, tried to tell me new menus will be being printed which is complete bs. In what world does a table of 2 get charged automatic 18% gratuity. A table of two black women at that. I felt we were profiled and potentially trying to be scammed like she wasn’t going to get a tip. Will not be returning because of this, very unsatisfied because my guess is she thought I wouldn’t notice which shows me they probably sneak and do this to lots of people. Disgusting. I still tipped her but I will not be going back to this establishment.

Don’t know what happened to this place in the last decade but Christ, the servers need to calm the attitude down. Lived in this area for years in the early 2000s and regularly frequented this place. Decided to take my wife and son for a midday Monday lunch and was greeted with horrendous service, issues everywhere we chose to sit outside (it was empty), served water with floating tomato particles and when I requested a new water a response of “it must of come from somewhere outside”. What? Guess they are now solely relying on the location and have given up on everything else. Shame really

very cool place, great service!

fast and friendly service. delicious food!!

Without many choices for places open late we headed here around 12:30 in the morning. We were allowed entry and then huddled together to attempt moving through the masses towards the busy bar. Unfortunately, from the moment we stepped in, there was an air of edginess to this place. The floor manager and host I presume were both unfriendly and rude. They shuffle you around as they make tables available for those they know and then proceeded to lash out at anyone who didn't obey their unwritten rules. The host snapped on a patron when he accidentally knocked over his own drink and his glass broke. Yelling at him in a language the patron didn't understand and then proceeding to get more upset when he didn't do what he asked because of the obvious language barrier. Our waitress must see this sort of thing often because she apologized and was quick to point out we wouldn't have to deal with them any longer. The drinks are expensive, small, and hardly have any alcohol. This was by far my worst experience in Chicago and will never return. In our hour there, we saw numerous other people have similar experiences as our own and leave.

Staff with attitude as we were a party of 7. 2 wanted to pay in cash, the rest using card. Staff kicked a fuss about paying by a card so many times !? Quite rude too. Avoid is place like the plague. Drinks aren’t even cheap !?

One of the last places you can grab bar food past 1 am. Great beers and good food. The staff are very kind.

Fantastic location if you like people watching. And cars... Walk in, kinda dark and dingy with a large bar. Always busy when I went (we were visiting) but service was great! Very reasonably priced. Wife and I ordered a bottle of house wine. Chardonnay. Very good and inexpensive. If wine can be inexpensive in a restaurant....Ate there twice and once for a couple of beers at the bar. Enjoyed everything about it. As some have said, maybe not a totally "Irish" vibe but a totally local Chicago vibe. Crowded, lively and loud. If that's not you then don't go.
