I have driven by this place since it's opened and just haven't lucked out with parking. Been eating tacos my mom makes since I was 3. None have stood up to hers, many close! These fried cheese and short rib tacos w dip sauce were a pure adventure from start to finish. Good job guys! Gonna have to bring my daughter here next time and go fishing!
Easy 5. Dropped in for lunch on a whim. Friendly service. Very fresh generous size tacos. Neat menu with interesting veggie options. Easy to find mediocre fish tacos- theirs were excellent. Cool place.
High quality food. I got the shrimp fajitas for take out and the chips and guac. Everything was amazing and the portions were huge!
Super fresh ingredients and very flavorful! Quickly made. Signature fish tacos were great and equally as great was the glo’n green tacos (cauliflower based). Would get both again!
This is the best taco place in town! I’ve been to many place in the city and haven’t been too impressed. The owners are so warm and welcoming and make me feel at home. The closest thing to Cali tacos (where I am from) is DON PEZ!!! ? ?

Very difficult to get good fish tacos in Chicago. Without a doubt Don Pez has to be some of the best if not, THE BEST, in the city. Only spot in Illinois I would assume you can get a huckleberry shake as well. Love to have this type of place in my neighborhood, MUST TRY.
