They have good music but their security team is rude. Cover is also unpredictable, sometimes free sometimes $20. I used to tolerate it but they're not worth the hassle
Our friend got choke holded and punched by the bouncers wrongly… go at your own risk
Debonair is a terrible club, we prepaid the cover and immediately got bounced because they said that too many people were there ruining my friends birthday. I think it’s because we were profiled I’m genuinely disappointed in the service I received.
Came from out of state for a Bulls game, went out after and ended up here. AMAZING DJ!
I’ve been going to Debonair for nearly 9years—so it’s in the rotation of places I like to go especially if I find myself in the area.I generally do not like places with covers, mainly because I spend so much on booze while I’m there, that I think a cover is bs—BUT I do (really) LIKE going to Debonair so when I have to I will pay it. :)Overall, this place holds a special and weird place in my heart because I don’t know how to classify it—is it an edm club? Is it an ultra lounge? Is it a divey bar/club? Is it a dance club? Is it a live music venue? Is it a rock club? Is a disco bodega? Is it sometimes the spot with crazy interesting events? I think Debonair can be one or all of them in one night—and that is f’ing fantastic—I love adventures and Debonair always seems to serve them up to me each time I am there.I’ve met amazing and cool people, listened to great music, danced like hell, and just generally had great times at Debonair. The bar staff always are great and very approachable and awesome. To me, debonair has been one of the most welcoming and inviting spots for all people since some of the great people I’ve met here are quite eccentric.I guess what I am saying, is I am forever grateful for my buddy who brought me here on the first night I went out after moving to Chicago, and I am glad they are still here after the pandemic. Thanks Debonair!(Side note, I’ve lost my phone here some years back, and the staff made an effort to find it (and did!) and made sure I got it back—which really made my night.)

My friends and I were being chill and respectful. My friend ordered a drink and this girl working tonight looked so off. She stared at her, looked down and then walked away. We saw her pour vodka into her water bottle too. She was stumbling and dropping cups. All of the bartenders were so rude and cranky. I get they gotta deal with drunk people all night but we were being respectful. The bouncers are hella rude all the time. The bartender wearing a bandana and was bald would respond to us with such attitude.
I was treated like trash because of my race. I would expect an establishment like this would be more progressive but no. I apparently ordered from the “wrong side of the bar” when plenty of my white counterparts did the same and got attended to. The bald bartender was unpleasant and unkind to me for no reason. Not coming back again.
I went out with 3 other friends to Chicago on a birthday trip we stumbled upon Debonair. We got our first drink and everything was great, cover fee was not expensive like another place we tried. We began dancing and having a good time. The music was good and we loved the two floors set-up. Things went side ways when the Caucasian male bartender serving downstairs began to harass me trying to kiss me and even put his hands on me. I had even gave him a $20 for a drink and he did not make it then began to tell me he was not giving me my money back even though he had not made me a drink. We ended up just leaving because of the whole situation. The owner or manager was very nice and apologetic and even offered to buy us drinks but at that point it was not even worth staying
best D&B night in the city?❤️ they do it Proper style???great people and great times‼️
