Impeccable experience from start to end! Every dish blew me away, the sauces were all lick-the-plate-clean worthy. Dishes were balanced between richness, acidity, smokiness, crunchiness, etc etc. Was going to write about how I’ll be dreaming about the duck liver mousse, pork belly, and creme brûlée moving forward, but every single dish was memorable. Super cozy and homey vibe too that reminds me of places like Daisies. Highly recommend!

We went to Dear Margaret last night for an early anniversary celebration, and it was perfect! Dear Margaret is quaint, inviting, and one of those places you can go back to again and again (and we will!). Our server, Terry, was delightful. He offered suggestions and explanations of the menu, and his wine recommendations were excellent. His enthusiasm really was a highlight. We especially enjoyed the tomato salad and the walleye. The presentation and interesting ingredients really showcased the local produce.

Extremely cozy and most welcoming service ever. They make you feel at home and the food is divine.Extremely pleased to have chosen this venue. You can tell the chefs put a lot of love and attention to detail!

We had the absolute best dining experience at Dear Margaret. The menu is carefully selected and you can't go wrong with anything. Terry, our server, was incredibly thoughtful with his recommendations and wine pairing suggestions. Safe to say he elevated our dining experience to 6 stars if possible! We are already looking forward to going back and cannot wait to see what items are on future menus. Thanks for a great night!

Oh my god what a beautiful meal. This place deserves all of the hype and more. Dear Margaret was a revelation. The dining room is so simple and warm and inviting. It feels like you’re being invited in to someone’s home. The service was fantastic. Our server was clearly passionate about the vision and food of the chef. Each dish was plated beautifully with magnificent flavor. The baguette was absolute perfection. The steamed asparagus was nice and light with a beautiful sauce to compliment. But the duck breast was the winner. Each bite was so flavorful and complex. The pairing against wild rice and onion purée set everything off. Just a stunning meal and I hope to return asap.

The vibe is cozy and warm and the food is delicious. Ingredients are locally sourced and fresh. Server was very nice and knowledgeable about the food. The only reason I'm not dying to go back is because the dishes are very expensive considering how small the portions are. My partner and I ordered 5 small dishes, 1 "big" dish, and dessert which was well over $100. The big dish was duck confit which only had about 4-5 bite-sized pieces of duck in it. It was delicious but for a $30 plate I would have expected more meat. We devoured everything but since the portions were so small I still felt like I could have eaten more. For us that is just a lot of money to spend to not feel totally full afterward. If money is not an issue for you then I recommend this restaurant.

This place was really cool. They have lots of tables and chairs inside. They also have long line tables for family and for friends. If the tables and chairs are full inside, don't worry since they have tables and chairs outside for dining in. It's fresh outside and you have a nice view if you sit there.Since it was too hot when we came here, we just ate inside. We ordered a lot of dishes. The only one I don't like here is their serving. Their food was only served in a small portion of food on a plate. The plating was simple and not unique. One of my favorites was their Bread Pudding. It was sweet, soft and very yummy. I really like it. I just gave a 4 stars rating to this restaurant although we enjoy the taste of their food.

Hubby and I came here for restaurant week and we are so glad we made the trek into the city for it. The restaurant has been getting a lot of great press of late so the only reservation we could get was for 9:30pm. Hubby call to see if we could possibly get in any earlier and we were able to move it up to 9. Yay! We were greeted at the door by Lacy, (person my husband spoke to on the phone) the owner! She is amazing, so warm and welcoming! We welcomed the opportunity to get her recommendations on the menu. Straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. We began with the fresh tomato salad and the fried quail. Both were outstanding! The salad was refreshingly fresh and cucumber sauce especially tasty. The fried quail is a star! The breading was perfection, crispy and seasoned just right. I had the sirloin and hubby the parsnip for our mains. Of the two, the parsnip was the better choice. The brown butter sauce made this simple ingredient seem decadent. The sirloin was the only dish that was just slightly disappointing. Though the seasoning was great, the cut of meat is not my favorite and tends to the tough side. Side note: our server is the house sommelier and he was generous to provide us with some sips to decide our wines. My wine was the perfect pairing with the sirloin. Kudos to Terry! Sadly they were out of the maple crème brulee so we ordered one each of the cookie and bread pudding. The cookie was the better choice. We look forward to sharing this new find with our friends!

It's a cute place with great food and service.

A fantastic date night spot. Our server, Terry, was exceptional. We were also celebrating a birthday that night and they made the birthday girl feel very welcome. The food was delicious. Everything on the menu is seasonal and you can taste the freshness in every dish. Everything was plated beautifully. Fantastic wine selection as well. The mood inside was quaint and romantic but also lively and entertaining. Would recommend!
