It was very good and filling. It won’t look like a lot of food but trust me you will be satisfied. The marinated meats were better than those that were not as they lacked seasoning. Not sure if they take reservations but be prepared to put your name on the list and wait at least 25-30 minutes.

We got the beef platter, pan fried dumplings and seafood fritter. Everything was prepared to perfection, table cook was a real pro, lovely atmosphere. This place does a great job of making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. I love that they text you when your table is ready so you can go shopping! $12 parking at the surface lot down the street. All in all, not cheap but not outrageous either.

I was worried because there were bad reviews but it was actually very nice bbq. I’m Korean so I know the best kbbq and it is not the best but I really liked it! I recommend it here

Everything was good. We had the Daebak Combo and dumplings. The staff was really nice and helpful. They even cook the meat and mushrooms for you here. Not a big fan of the soup though. Also a bit pricey. Ended up around 110$ for 2 people with tax and tip . That is a lot imo.

Great food and lots of it. We got the Large Combo, 4 people in my group. B1,2,&4. Sodas are cans of soda. The Kimchee Beef Soup was packed with flavor and spice.

If you're a kpop fan (especially ARMY) You'll LOVE this place. As soon as you arrive at the restaurant you're greeted by a sign that has a picture of BTS and says welcome army(so cool) inside they have a large screen that plays kpop music videos. The food is worth the price and the owner chated with us about BTS while we were there. Great first time experience with Korean BBQ, I'll definitely be back next time Im in Chicago.

Our family decided to celebrate my sister’s birthday at Daebak tonight. Upon arriving I asked one of the servers if I can hand over the birthday cake so they can put it on their fridge. They said they can’t take the cake. That’s fine, I figured their kitchen is busy so we didn’t think much of it. After dinner as we were getting ready to cut the cake, our server (also the same server I asked prior to being seated) said Daebak does not allow cakes to be served. We asked why and they informed us it was just because the owner said so. Why was it not mentioned when I initially asked to place the cake in their fridge? We asked to speak to the owner and the server said they spoke to the owner and they wouldn’t talk to us. As you can understand our family were extremely displeased as it was not mentioned earlier before we were seated that we can not cut and eat celebration cakes. At the end we ended up spending $360 at a restaurant that does not allow their customers to celebrate their birthdays with cake. Extremely disappointed to say the least. What was meant to be a nice celebration and dinner left everyone feeling deflated.Edit*Because we were not able to cut our cake last night, we went out again tonight to properly celebrate her birthday. We went next door to Cai. Food was delicious and prices are very reasonable.20% gratuity was not automatically applied but we tipped well over that. Service was friendly as well.

The food was delicious! My niece and I had a great time!

A fantastic 반찬 (side dishes) spread. The restaurant cooks on the grills in front of you and everything is delicious. Service was a efficient and friendly. 10/10 would recommend. Super full with perfect proportions of meat. Yummy, clean eating. 잘 먹겠습니다!

I've eaten here several times pre- and post-pandemic and it's always amazing. The owner is very personable and comes out herself to ensure everyone is enjoying the food. The staff is always very attentive.
