Everything we tried (pizza, cookies, sandwiches) was delicious and the service was spectacular. I believe they were previously cash only, but they had a credit card machine during my visit. Go early for the best selection. I will definitely be back!
This is one of the best places in our great city. Order anything here and love it! Their square pan pizza is unique and super tasty! I don't know if I prefer it cold but I eat it hot or cold. Italian beef is on point and soups are amazing, but don't skip the baked goods - chocolate canoli could be the key
Their breads, pastries, and sandwiches are the best, but my absolute favorite are their focaccia sheet pan pizzas. Just like being in Italy. Perfection.
We went for a sandwich and stayed for the cookies. The chicken parm sub was delicious and cookies were amazing. We got a 3lb box of cookies that won’t make it through weekend. Can’t wait to go back and try something else.
D'Amato's is always a treat. Great cookies and espresso. Quality ingredients, fine-crafted. Staff is friendly and efficient. Cash only, so be prepared. Mouth is watering in recollection; now I need to sample the bread and pizzas.
We traveled here from downtown. This bakery sits next to our favorite Sub shop Bari. Easy to get to on Grand. Great selection of bread and specialty Italian bakery items. Nice people. Excellent quality.
A true Chicago staple although the pizza is insley over priced it is delicious and worth it i would 100% go back.. o year if your a bread lover they have so many kinds it's insane
We were pretty excited about going to this bakery, we got a bread which was amazing and some pastries including canoli. The CANOLI tasted okay but THEY WEREN’T with real pistachios!!!! THOSE ARE GREEN DIED PEANUTS!!! I was really disappointed finding that out. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere they were with peanuts and I think it’s highly irresponsible and dangerous to trick people supplementing pistachios with some cheap green died peanuts considering how many people have a peanut allergy!!!
I went there A week ago and Was Greeted with a nice smile and friendly workers I order there great pizza and Bread and some odds and ends which is Excellent. I had a Italian stocking cap and Italian scarf someone said you look so good could I take a picture with you on instagram me holding there great bread. Then they even gave me a shirt With d amato on it that was so nice I was going there for years at least over 40 the best. Now I just moved to Florida recently. But when I come back I will go back for sure. You would love it
