Very much brunch bar vibes, incredibly friendly staff, delicious food, fun alcoholic beverages. My goodness… the tres leches French toast hit the spot! It is perfect for someone with a sweet tooth. Looking for something savory? The burrito and chilaquiles would be my go to.
I definitely would say that you have to check this place out! I saw pictures of drinks and food more than once on different occasions so I HAD to try it and let me tell you.... WOW!!! Drinks were delicious and you could taste the alcohol (that's important) so you know you're getting a good pour. Food was fantastic, meat cooked how I asked, and the presentation was spot on not to mention how impressed my wife and I were with how fast service was. We had the pleasure of having KARLA as a server and she was by far the coolest person with a fun attitude and gave us the breakdown of the menu and then asked what we like so she can make suggestions in ordering. BOOM! She hit it out the park. My wife and I are always looking for new fun spots to hang out and drink. We definitely plan on coming back with more people. There's many drink and food specials through out the week so you can enjoy any day!

Do yourself a favor and PLEASE go here. This place is a hidden gem. Blue corn tortillas are home made every morning by the mother of the family, and they taste amazing. Their drinks are also great with some amazing margarita flavors.
This is all about mixing culture and flavors. My wife and I are 81-year-old retirees who until recently were advocates of meat-and-potatoes and Italian cooking. Then we discovered Cajun, Creole and Thai and became disciples of the more fish/less meat congregation. Finally, we visited CRIO, recognized as the finest Latin American restaurant in Chicago. Located at 2506 North Clybourn Avenue, northwest of Fullerton Avenue, in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, it is an artsy, modern urban gastropub with a bar and grill, a hip vibe and a menu for one and all. No, we aren't into margaritas or grilled octopus tacos or Patron tequila popsicles. But how about a Heaven Burger with rubbed beef patty, cherrywood smoked bacon, home-made blackberry jam, belted cheddar cheese and sunnyside egg? Or an indescribably delicious dessert called chocolate chip cookie skillet that tastes like cookie dough and ice cream topped with sweet and tangy raspberry sauce and decadent chocolate sauce? We started with seared scallops and a Mexican salad with romaine lettuce, onions, avocado, corn, black beans, tomato, tortilla strips and lime cilantro vinaigrette. For entrees, we chose grilled chicken breast with mole sauce and pickled onions and grass-fed grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and house-made fries. CRIO is open from 4 to 9:30 on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 to 3 and 5 to 9:30 on Saturday and 10 to 4 on Sunday. Oh, did I forget the CRIO burger with ground beef and andouille sausage?
Small and inviting restaurant staff. They placed our cake in the fridge for presentation later in the party. There is a bar, tables for party of 6 or more and so.e space for doubles. Parking is hit or miss. Brittany was nice!
Go go go! What are you waiting for? No need to make a reservation because this cute cozy colorful place is not located in a super busy area but not far from one so it’s not over crowded.The food was great, the drinks amazing and the dessert… omg! My taste buds have died and gone to heaven! Amazing! Truly ?
Great place for brunch a group of friends , reunions and kids ! Food was so good and you had me at bottomless mimosas! Love the decor, the vibe was great will be coming back! Only downside is that it gets packed and fast! So you gotta really wake up early to get a seat since it’s a small joint , if you’re willing to wait then go for it ! It’s worth it
This place is great!!! If they would just add maybe 1 or 2 vegan options on their menu that would make this spot AMAZING! I always want to come here with my group of ladies but have to be considerate of the Vegans in our group.
Great food and very attentive amazing staff!!! Bottomless brunch is a must and worth it. They have very wide variety of cocktails and they are delicious. Highly recommend Crio for a day or night out of food & drinks!
