Amazing service! The bagels are savory and creative. Give this place a chance if you haven't yet. Nice to have more coffee options in the neighborhood other than big name chains.
Cragin has 5 stars for a reason. Firstly, Jeff, one of the owners, is such a wonderful human and so friendly. I was super impressed at how they do EVERYTHING from scratch there! That’s so much work! House-made coffee flavors, they roast their own beans…and the peanut butter cups look like heaven! Also, let’s talk about the bagels - made fresh every morning. Very impressive! Nice crunch on the outside and very soft on the inside. Just how you want a bagel to be! They said they stopped making other baked goods as they’ve been impacted by Covid, like so many. But if the rest is as good as the bagels, I imagine they’d be a tastebud delight! If you haven’t been yet, I’d recommend stopping in the shop and having a visit. You won’t be disappointed by the service nor the bagels and coffee.
First time customer. Had a cappuccino, an everything bagel and a chocolate cranberry peanut butter muffin (because I can't resist anything chocolate). 10/10 all the way around. It's great to have a good non-corporate coffee place in the neighborhood. Support local business! These folks deserve our patronage.
The jalapeno cheddar bagel is amazing! I also very much enjoy the cappuccino here. I can't wait to try the other bagels and sandwiches
Coffee is unburned and delicious. Bagels are extremely fresh and on another level. Atmosphere is friendly and service is prompt. Despite being a brick building with concrete floor, I was warm and comfortable on the couch without needing to bundle up. Stop in to Cragin Public and take a load off!
Great coffee and excellent bagel got to meet the owner and had a great time sitting and chatting. It's definitely a cool suburban basement feel.
Cragin Public Coffee shop has a quaint coffee shop atmosphere to it that reminded me of San Francisco or the North Bay shop I use to visit. If you can't imagine that, imagine the quaint feel of Central Perk (Friends tv show). Bring your tablet, sit on the sofa with a friend or sit at the window and watch the hustle and bustle of the city while you enjoy your favorite toasted bagel and topping or bagel sandwich with a hot cup of joe. The bagels are wonderful. While you're there, pickup a bag of their roasted whole bean coffee (or have it ground there).
Had a coffee there and Bagel. Amazing coffee! The shop has a roaster and beans were roasted the same day I was there. Love it. I left with large bag of whole beans and will be back to get more. Bagel was made that day too and yummy.
A lovely local coffee spot! There's a wide selection of great tasting coffee and the housemade bagels are amazing!Their specialty coffee blends set them apart from other shops, I am partial to the peanut butter cup cold brew, it is delicious.
I had seen their ads online and was curious because I love a good bagel and the owners seemed genuinely nice. Both turned out to be true. I had an asiago bagel and took an everything bagel to go for a friend. This was, hands down, the best bagel I've ever eaten! My friend loved her bagel as well. They were dense but soft. I also got a jalapeño cheddar one to go but haven't had it yet. The owner, Jeff, was super nice too! I'll definitely be back soon for more. Planning to take some tiwork in a couple of weeks. I know the staff will love them!
