We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the weather. Our server was attentive to our table. The food was good but the prices are about what you would expect to pay in Lincoln Park and knowing food products have gone up in price.Overall, a good experience.
Great food and drinks! A little expensive so a dinner for two will run about $80+ with drinks. Service could have been better, took us 30 minutes after food and drinks were finished to get our check.
Love this place. The chicken tortilla soup is my favorite and the margaritas are incredible/worth the hype. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere. My only complaint is that it’s quite pricey, and the type of place you go to when you’re willing and able to spend money.
Food is good, expensive but you get a lot. Giving 1/5 because of our bad experience with the server the other night. I've come here plenty of times since I live nearby and never had a bad experience with the staff, but this time our server was incredibly rude. I definitely won't be coming back after that.Last week on a Saturday night, my friend and I (mid 20s girls) walked in holding soda drinks in cups with straws that we had gotten somewhere else while walking around our neighborhood before deciding on eating here. Since we realized it might be a problem, we asked the host if it was okay that we keep our drinks or if we should throw them away. He said it was fine and not to worry. A bit after, our server comes to take our order and calls us out on our drinks. He called us out like we were children (he is an older man 30s-40s) and lectured us a bit on how you're not supposed to do that at restaurants. We said we were told it was fine, but that he could take them away. He seemed frustrated, and I get it, I've been a waitress and it can get stressful, but there's no need to be confrontational. I can't recall exactly what he said, but we were completely thrown off by it to the point where I asked my friend if we should leave. When we ordered our food, we asked for carne asada tortas (we are hispanic and said it in Spanish - he was too), and he corrected us twice on how we meant STEAK tortas. He said it in a condescending way and I was thrown off.. sure, steak, carne asada, whatever you gotta write down on your notes. Tension was thick already since the drinks scene, so I just kind of rolled my eyes at my friend after he took my order. He noticed, came back, and kind of tried to fix things with us while at the same time being rude and condescending? He accused me of being mad at him because of the drinks thing, and yet again lectured us on why that's wrong. Never had such a rude server - ruined our night.
Good fajitas....mixed and good wait staff.
I hate to be this person but the image is a lie. I had the mexican steak with queso, which is $29 by the way, and it was 98% bell peppers and 2% steak. I probably had like 5 little strips of steak on the entire plate. The plate should be nowhere near $29 if that's the way they're going to portion the steak, even if they do include beans and rice on the side. Aside from this, I will admit the flavor was good and the margaritas as well. My wife got the chicken milanesa which is a better bang for your buck.
Great lunch today. Felix was fantastic and the margaritas made the day! Great food in a great Chicago neighborhood.
The restaurant had an issue where they (accidentally) charged $5 for a side of hot sauce you never got. An extra $2 for sour cream that comes to your meal after you’ve eaten most of your burrito. And when they refund you after closing out (another accident) they paid me in $5 cash so you still are charged the full amount on your card and paid extra in taxes…. Over-charged margaritas as well. I’m kinda upset :(
Great margaritas in insane volumes. They have a 45oz margarita. Like, how do you beat that?
Every time I hit the city, this is my favorite Mexican spot to dine in, considering they have excellent vegan options. For instance, the burrito without any meat is delightful with a great size, especially with fresh avocados. Although I am a meat lover, it is nice to occasionally have such well prepared, flavorful fruits and veggies. The horchatas are also exceptionally yummy.
