This was a great Italian restaurant. 3rd generation family owned. The grandson was nice and staff very attentive. All the food homemade. Menu had nice selection. There was outside dining which we would have done, but it was a hot evening. We would definitely return our next trip to Chicago.
It doesn't get better than Lago for old-school ambiance and delicious Italian eats. Super friendly, super tasty and a great value. Don't miss this Chicago treasure!
Club lago is one of my favorite go to spots. The Chicken Marsala is my favorite! Love having this gem in the neighborhood
This is a very local place with amazing service. The owner Gian Carlo was great and treated us like family although it was our first time, connected with us since the first step we took into his restaurant. And the food was outstanding, very much authentic Italian food made with lots of love. I would love to come again.
It had been many years since we were last in to Lago. We would go every week after going to the galleries in the neighborhood. Everyone stopped in and the food and drink was outstanding. Glad to see that the quality is still there
We ordered about 10 dishes and sides to share family style. Every dish was great including the white clam over pasta, saltimboca, spicy chicken, eggplant parm, meatballs and sausage and several pastas with meat sauce. Cocktails and service was great too. Good locals place. We seemed to be the only out-of-towners!
This was our first time back since Covid. Like many restaurants, to survive, theyâve had to raise prices and cut portions. I get it, but there are better values elsewhere. Taste of everything was excellent, but portions were just too small.
Always a great option for classic Chicago Italian food! Great, personable service and awesome food!
Told they were closed after accepting reservation
Great restaurant! Ambiance and food top notch!
