BEST MANGO CHEESECAKE EVER!First of all, it was great to find a place open late at night that had desserts. We tried a few things from the menu and everything was DELICIOUS! The mango cheesecake was absolutely breathtaking, I'm a mango lover and this cheesecake was completely balanced and delicious, must try from the menu!
Walking in to the bakery to pick up a birthday cake was unbelievable. The staff was all busily preparing creations that all looked amazing. I was warmly greeted by James and he assisted to satisfy my order beyond expectations. What a kind and generous person he is. He went out if his way to tend to specific detail so the order was so over the top. The “Bucktown” was without a doubt the best ever. We were so impressed with the decorating and the distinct flavor. What a cake, what a business and again what a kind staff.
We’ve been going to this spot since it was slinging cakes out of Get In The Kitchen further north on Broadway. Their ready-made desserts are unbelievable, and I cannot put into words how awesome the owner has been in helping with last minute treats. No need to look any further for any baked goods. Cupcakes, custom cakes, macaroons….the best!
Working with James was a dream! He helped save the birthday when two other bakeries fell through on a custom cake for a double 30th bday party. So communicative, accommodating, and everyone RAVED about the cake. "This is so amazing!" "Where did you get this cake??" They have a huge menu of flavors and now I'm inspired to take the time to try all of them.
I was pleasantly surprised to find gluten free options at this wonderful new neighborhood bakery. The aroma upon walking in was like entering a French patisserie. The gf coconut cake with whipped cream frosting was decadent and I sure felt indulgent eating it. I look forward to trying their other delights. I'm wondering if a gf chocolate cake reminiscent of Portillo's chocolate cake will be in their repertoire. I can't wait to find out.
The coconut cake is to LIVE for. The slices are huge & totally fair price. It’s even gluten free!!! plus the owners are so kind. Definitely my go to in the neighborhood now! Especially for my late night sweet tooth (:
Was having trouble finding a place open later in the evening to satisfy my sweet tooth, but this place popped up! Didn't really have any expectations coming in but this is definitely my new favorite patisserie. :) I got a banana bread cupcake, some cookies, and a ube Filipino inspired dessert. Everything was beyond delicious! The staff were so great and nice as well. I can't wait to come back and try more pastries.
One of the best cupcakes I have had in Chicago. I bought the She Vers(Red Velvet Cupcake with Vanilla Cheesecake Frosting) and the Salted Caramel Mocha Cupcake. I was charged $0.10 for a checkout bag which is more than the Illinois Bag Tax plus it was a paper bag not even a plastic bag. So taking 1 star of the rating.
This was my second visit here And James and Ryan couldn’t have made me feel more welcome than they already have. I stopped in the night before with some friends and I purchased these sandwich like cookies ,they are To die for in my opinion. They are filled with this Ube butter cream in the middle with almost 2 thin crispy crunchy wafers on the top and bottom . I love it , but to speed up the story I didn’t realized they were closed but fortunately before I could walk away James came to the door unlocked and let me in, always making someone feel welcomed and extremely nice .
