I love their steamwiches, and they have a great vegan selection, but the last two times I ordered the monthly special, Phat Matt, they messed it up. The first time it was just bagel, vegan egg, vegan cheese, vegan sausage patty, and it was missing tomatoes, sprouts, giardiniera, spice. It was basically a completely different menu item. And today it had lettuce instead of giardiniera. I've ordered this sandwich twice and still haven't received and tried it. I'm losing trust in this place, hopefully all the vegan items are actually vegan! Where is the quality control? I Love that the menu has so many vegan options, but if you're going to have that many options, your employees need to know how to construct the sandwiches! Train your employees or reduce the options because it's not fun to get something other than what you ordered.
Chicago Bagel Authority is great when they get your order right. However, they’ve gotten my order wrong at least 4 times. Yesterday was the most frustrating. I was there pretty early, so they had us order at the window instead of inside. I ordered a sesame bagel with egg, cheese and turkey. It took about 5 minutes to get my bagel, they gave it to me and I headed home to eat it because I couldn’t sit inside. When I got home, I opened my bagel to find a plain raisin bagel with nothing on it - far from what I ordered. This was super frustrating because I paid $9 for what I wanted, and I’m sure a plain raisin bagel is not that much. I also hate raisins so just threw it away.
So I ordered one bagel they told me It will be ready in a 20min. So I took a ride to starbucks and back. It's been 57min. already I'm still waiting for it. ?? So if you are really hungry avoid to come @ Saturday. Or just take a day off cause they r little slow.? But it is delicious
Awesome unique steamwiches! The large marge is delicious with the habanero mayo. Wide variety of sandwiches and chips. They are very busy so make sure you order ahead or plan to wait in store. The inside has a very unique flair and the walls are covered in hilarious artwork!
Good bagels with a vegan cream cheese option. There can be a 15-20mom wait for bagels. I did enjoy the coffee too. Coffee options come in 12oz or 20oz.The menu is very extensive which can be a little overwhelming though. Plenty of indoor seating at Belmont location, but no outdoor seating.
Their menu is unreal, almost any type of sandwich you can imagine on a bagel. Got the honey badger which is a honey chicken salad with bacon, smoked cheddar, jalepeños and shredded lettuce. Delicious sandwiches! Only reason it's 4 stars n not 5 is because the bagel could have been toasted more. Maybe ask for the bagel extra toasted if you're into that like me!
Hands down the worst bagel I’ve ever had in my life. It was spongey, small, and seemed like it had been sitting there for a day or two. I cannot believe this is a “bagel place.” You’re better off buying frozen bagels from the grocery store (also terrible, but somehow slightly better than CBA bagels). Shockingly bad, do not recommend at all.
Sandwiches and coffee are great BUT I went here twice in December 2021 and they messed up orders both times. The first time I asked for no tomato but add banana peppers, and they did neither (I got tomato's but no banana peppers). The second time they gave the banana peppers but still didn't do no tomato. They also messed up the coffee when I ordered a 16 oz but gave me a 12oz and then proceeded to gaslight me into thinking I did in fact get a 16. No sir, you gave me a 12 oz, now give me what I paid for. I'll go back, but man they need to make some improvements to service.
