Chez Joel is a quant and intimate French restaurant with excellent canard and other dishes. The service is very efficent and the prices are more than reasonable for a French restaurant.

Chez Joel has been consistently a wonderful restaurant. I have not dinned there in a few years because of the pandemic, and I was thrilled to return. I am pleased to say The food and ambiance is still great. It should be noted that unlike many restaurants, Joel and his team is still able to deliver delicious, well prepared and elegant meals at an amazing value. This is fine dining in an inviting environment. If you have the opportunity, sit in the lovely garden. If the weather cooperates, it is a magical place.
We live in Madison Wisconsin but we frequent Chicago for the dining experience, shopping and just walking and enjoy the architectural. We are New Yorkers and so we love experiencing great dining and service. We really enjoyed the food, plating and the service was amazing. Chez Joel will definitely be as one of our favorited restaurants in Chicago. We can’t wait to re visit and try different items on the menu.
As always, Chez Joel was wonderful! Great service, great food! I wish we lived in the neighborhood because we’d be there at least twice a week. Special thanks to our server who was able to secure us a last minute table outside.
My martini and meal were perfect. My husband enjoyed his meal, too. No complaints. We will be back!
