Strongly Recommended: Visited this place with a few of my friends. We were very happy about the food and service. The owners (super nice Assyrians from Lebanon) and staff are very caring and polite. Their hummus is literally the best in the whole Chicago area. Because of the last minute booking, we got a table under a tree, and because the wind, we didn’t get the ultimate experience since leaves and seeds were falling. That being said, we all were happy. At the end, the owner gave extra us hummus and bread on the house - just as a nice surprise for tolerating the wind and what it caused. We will be back soon. Give it a try …
Was looking for a quick dinner ahead of a concert at Park West. Found this gem with wide selection and a great patio (inside dining also available). Owner made a point of visiting the table and we appreciated that to understand the background and history. Very satisfying food and very quick service. BYOB.
I crave the food from cedar palace. Best baba ganoush ever and I have eaten it in Turkey, Jordan and Israel. Their food is the best, authentic Mediterranean food in Chicago. They have a charming outdoor garden that is romantic and has space heaters if it gets cold. We also love their chicken shawarma, lentil soup, salads, rice and pita bread. They have the thinnest pita bread in town. It’s paper thin and light. Clearly home made. Yum!
I didn't even finish eating before I wrote this review. That's how good this place is. If you find yourself craving some Lebanese food, this is the perfect option. I was treated like family from the moment I walked in. Everything was perfectly prepared. I left in a much better mood than when I came in. Plus, once their patio is back up and running, it is the perfect weekend spot. Do yourself a favor, and get in here.
Amazing food and staff. We ordered a handful of dishes and loved everything. The hummus is incredible and the falafel is a must! Our server Anthony was attentive and kind during our entire meal. You can tell the staff genuinely wants every person that comes in to have a good experience. We’ll be back soon! Thank you for making our welcome to the neighborhood so wonderful!
Amazing restaurant. Super flavourful meat, hummus was perfectly creamy, and the thin pita that comes with it helps with not filling up so quickly. Service was amazing, the waiter told us that it's a family run business and gave us free baklava for dessert! So sweet. Will have to come back during the summer for dinner when the patio is open.
Phenomenal family-owned restaurant. Owned by a Syrian family who treats you like family. They are gracious and friendly. And the food is amazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening meal. Great location and I have heard -- their patio is phenomenal. Silvana, I can't wait to return. Diane
We ordered catering from Cedar Palace and it was amazing! The food was more than enough, everything tasted delicious, and was cooked well. This is by far the best middle eastern restaurant in Chicago. The chef/owner was so kind and she had great customer service. Our guests were very happy and raving about the food, they will all be customers! Thank you for making our event special and we appreciate it!
The food was exceptionally good. It is actually the best kebab I’ve had in Chicago. I got food to go from here. Kebabs are well seasoned and cooked to perfection. And huge plus points that they offer Bulgur Wheat as an option for your plate. I highly recommend this place.
The owner and staff are amazing. You can tell when you walk in that they love what they do and it shows in the food. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. Its just plain delicious. I've been there many times and will continue to support this family owned business!!
