If you ever wanted to experience authentic Persisian food Caspian kabab is the place. The atmosphere is something you would have to stop in to experience,very nice and cozy spot.
Honestly one of the best Persian meals I have had outside of my grandmother's kitchen. The food and service were top notch! Would highly recommend if you are looking for authentic, homemade Iranian cuisine.
There are several top-grade Persian restaurants in Chicago all serving quality food that includes various kebabs, stews. . . CASPIAN KEBAB is unique since it is the only one serving the two-course dish of lamb slowly cooked with navy beans, chick peas, tomato sauce and several spices in small cylindrical earthenware called "dizi." Once cooked it is saved as two courses, one is the soup and the the other is the pounded meat and ingredients served with pita bread. The so called "dizi meal" is the comfort food for many Iranians. Enjoying it in this restaurant will make every home-sick Iranian pleased and ethnic food --liking non-Persians satisfied. Another plus here is the Persian ice cream made with the addition of rose water. The service is polite, the congenial owner visits each table and ensures that the diners are satisfied with their meals.
Authentic, Old-School ethnic Persian restaurant. A relatively limited menu makes your dinner choices easier so you can enjoy this place for what it is. My daughter and I started visiting here a couple months ago and we'll be visiting again soon!
Outstanding food but dont come in a rush. The lamb shank can be stripped from the bone with a spoon, cooked in a tomato pepper sauce that will leave you positively depressed when its gone. The hummus and baba ganoush are both made when you order and are SO fresh. Everything is made fresh so dont be in a rush and enjoy!
One of the best Persian meals I have had (sorry dad). Everyone was genuinely happy to have me there and were so hospitable. Would recommend 100%. Great service and even better food! Thank you for being so great!!
I was in Chicago as a tourist. I was looking for a Mediterranean or a middle eastern restaurant. I found this when I googled. The food was beyond delicious. A cozy and warm atmosphere take you out of 21st century and peace your minds with simplicity of old days. The food was so good and healthy that I did’t get any problem digesting as a person with digestion problem. I highly recommend Caspian restaurant in Chicago.
This is the first time I tried Persian food. I was impressed. It was flavorful and very filling.
