This has always been a neat hole in the wall. The new refurbishment looks great and the sound from the music was very good. Excited to come back.

Had an amazing and pretty surprisingly good time at Carol's last night. I say that because I am not really a country music fan. But, Carol's is great place regardless of your favorite music genre. Cool and comfortable atmosphere with good friendly service. Good drinks. Only had the cheese curds but they were super tasty and everything else looked and smelled great. Heck, the band did their thing very well and even enjoyed a few of the songs.

Nice remodel from the old joint. It would be great if they had table service. The hot dogs looked good; will try them on the next visit.

I came here with high expectations. I wanted it all - Live Music, Dancing, Snacks, Good Crowds, Good Service and most of all - Good Country Music. Carol hit it out of the park. The servers are great. The people are very friendly and there is a really welcoming vibe. This is my new favorite bar in Chicago. I will definitely be back and I will definitely spread the word!!

Was out of the blue grabbed and asked to leave because I was bothering people even though I almost never talk to anyone there. Was forcibly removed before I could even close out my tab, had to have someone else get it for me. Tried to go back a few months later, was let in but then told I was not allowed in anymore and the bouncer and the person telling me to leave claimed I tried to hit him and that I had a long history of bothering people, would not explain any further than that.

Always a great time. Lots of the same staff from the previous owner (Carol) staff. It’s not a dive bar but a neighborhood honky tonk bar with amazing food and live honey tonk / rockabilly / country western artists

Some of the best bar food in the city (the burger, the bologna sandwich and the charred hot dog are particularly great), fantastic live music, and wonderful staff. Carol's 2.0 is cleaner than the original but kept the soul. One of my favorite spots in the city

great music scene and reasonably priced beer

I actually owe a lot to this bar.I was receiving *UNWANTED* attention from a drunken guy who felt that it was alright to touch me, my tattoos, as well as put his arm around me. I was by myself at that point in time and I panicked. I physically could not get myself away from himSeveral of Carol's staff intervened, got this guy away from me, and had kept a watchful eye on me for the remainder of the evening.Carols DOES NOT TOLERATE unwelcomed advances or any kind of inappropriate behavior. Thanks for protecting me from all those creepy dudes.

This place is super fun if looking for dinner a show! Good food, friendly service, solid stage setup with a good view no matter where you sit. They have drag queen bingo with Alexis Bevels every other Tuesday and it’s always a fun time
